I totally agree with you on Adelman , but how can you start anti T-Mac thread (on a night where we should be celebrating THESE Rockets, nonetheless) but then use the absence of McGrady as a negative to prove your point?
Thank you RA for complaining about officiating early in the series. I think it had some effect on the series. More importantly, thank you for making our offense balanced so that we can have a lot of options on who we can go to. This is the main reason why we've been able to beat the Blazers even when they were able to completely take Yao out in Games 2 and 3.
Would Landry and Brooks, off the bottom of the draft boards, have gotten a chance under JVG? Especially when their defense was suspect in year one? Would JVG be able to accommodate a guy who so often failed to follow the gameplan like Ron Artest? Would JVG have allowed Kyle Lowry to come onto the team and be our back-up PG from the all-star game forward, especially considering he was so young? Would he have allowed Brooks to start, and Rafer to be traded? Would Wafer even have been picked up in training camp? We like to focus on everything Adelman has failed to do with Yao, but he's done a knock-up job of building perhaps the greatest supporting cast in my Rockets viewing history. War Adelman.
Where does all this crap come from? Did JVG do a radio interview and say he wouldn't play Wafer if he was coaching the team? And where did this JVG man-crush on Luther Head come from? Why wouldn't JVG let Scola and Landry develop? Did all these claims come from JVG not giving poor Vassillis Spanoulis playing time? Give me a break. You guy don't have a clue on how JVG would've handled this much more talented team. Then again, I don't blame y'all. Why would you know how JVG would handle a team with lots of talent? He never had one here outside of two players. On top of that, they kept running into their worst matchup in the playoffs.
