Somehow I feel Les is turning into Sterling, being an unreasonable cheapass owner...

Not a good sign at all! Who can bring a team without stars to almost playoff years after years from now on for the Rockets? I hate tanking!

    What a loss... I am just ...:(

I'm at a loss of words right now.

I couldn't express how much he's done in the couple of seasons here with all the drama...

Every single player coming out and asking for his return screams appreciation more than my post ever could.

Terrible terrible decision. The best coach in terms of actual coaching that this franchise has ever had. He got so much out of this team. I'm incredibly disappointed that this decision was reached, and I'm even more disappointed that people seem to think we won more with JVG than we did with Rick.

So sorry to see you go Rick. I feel you are the best coach in Houston history. Maybe not as beloved as Bum Phillips, but the best offensive system of any Houston team. You will be sorely missed, and I'm afraid Les will live to regret this decision.

Did what he could w/o Yao and Mac.

I love the classic Adelman look of disgust/misery.
Prime example, anyone got that video of Yao with a dumb foul and then the RA stare?

Rick Adelman could win with a team of blind midgets...seeing him coach the past few years made me appreciate his greatness so much more. It's like when Clyde came over, and I appreciated what a great passer he was.

Look at the talent he had to work with this year, and he still made this team one of the top offensive squads in the league. That's a pretty amazing transformation. I remember when I thought our team was a lost cause in terms of ever having an elite 5-man offense.

Almost as much as the Rockets have been fortunate to have quality centers over the years, the Rockets have been fortunate to have quality COACHES the past 15 years.

Rudy T, Jeff Van Gundy, Rick Adelman. Very respectable group. Everyone one of them has led teams to the Finals. MULTIPLE finals except for Van Gundy.

I hope their luck with coaches doesnt run out on the next hire.

Rick got a raw deal. He came here to coach superstars and soon found himself without even one. He did a great job considering the roster. I think he'll be heavily sought after this offseason. I'd certainly like to see him coach again. Maybe he'll join Artest in LA.

We get a strictly defensive coach he is not good at coaching offense means we better switch personnel.

People that bash Adelman must not realize he has historically coached good defensive teams. Not a shocker it happened when he had a real Center.
