exactly. he'll never be fully healthy again, but he can reach a level where he can put up 20, 6, 6. that's not the level he once played, but we have enough talent on this team to just need a more consistent tracy. when healthy, he can play the paul pierce role with ease.
I don't see this 2 week thing doing much for T-mac health wise. Maybe get his confidence up but that is all. He took a break earlier this season for about 2 weeks and a month later we are back to square one.
I doubt we'll see him throwing it down from the rafters like he did in 2004. I doubt we'll see him being able to posses the quickness to get by the Lebrons, Wades, and Kobe's (like he did up to 2006). I doubt we'll see 13 in 30 seconds again. However, he still has the court vision, play-making ability, and game awareness to be a very dangerous player. If he had it within him, he could become a 6'9 PG (like Magic) and pretty much be a triple-double threat every game... but again, I don't think he has that sort of commitment to completely revamp his game to what his body allows. If his body doesn't allow him to put up 20+ PPG ever again, chances are he will either retire or be happy being a gunner off the bench for a championship calibur team (like Stackhouse became). He does, however, still possess the raw talent to absolutely revamp his game to be the ultimate quarterback. Time will tell.
we don't need the old tracy having to do everything b/c he doesn't have to. we just need a tracy who makes his teammates better and take over when he has to. but if yao plays like he has, tracy doesn't have to take over that much and that's always a good thing.
dwade is still in his mid-20s. tracy is an old 30 b/c he was in the L at the age of 18. but he still has enough athleticism to be able to DUNK. he can't even do that this yr. he'll bounce back.
Since when has T-mac been refusing to pass? If anything this season he has passed to much when he should of been trying to look for his own shot.
Problems with T-mac this season 1.Knee 2.Defense(cause of it is effort and still his knee) 3.Holding on to the ball and not attacking quicker 4.Being passive instead of aggressive 5.Settling for jumpers instead of taking it to the basket.(knee and mentally not good enough to be consistent to change this yet) Passing the ball is nowhere on this list.
<br> Again, Rafer does this quite a lot too.. I've seen Adelman get on him about it quite a few times.. I think Bullard (or was it Bill?) made a comment about it during the Miami game
T-Mac's big problem with the Adelman offense is that he still like to play isolation. He'll get the ball, dribble away, and then try to break down his defender one on one. If he's going to play within the system he needs to move the ball. There's a reason people have been saying that the Rockets' offense looks much better when McGrady's not around.
Yes, he has to move off the ball, make the hard cut....once he does he will find the game is much easier for him. DD
I thought Rafer held on to the ball too long when it was under 1 minute in the 4th qt. He waited until it was 8 seconds left on the shot clock to make his move then he passes it to Yao. At that point it puts Yao in a tough position. As far as T-mac goes with him being slower and losing a step he should attack quicker because it doesn't allow the defense to set up in the inside. Against Philly when he came out aggressive I notice he attacked as soon as he touched the ball and that is when he got some easy buckets.
no, when tracy is in the game and he SUCKS like he has, it's gonna look bad. when he's out of the game, wafer has played better than him so it looks good. nobody was complaining during that 6 game stretch that tracy PLAYED WELL.
