Hey Richard, there are other people better at their job than you are at your job. How does it feel?

We have 4 significant players coming off major injuries already with Watt, Mercilus, Watson, and Foreman.

Can we at least get a healthy dude?

Even ignoring the obvious off field reasons Sherman and the Texans won't happen, I simply don't think he would be a great fit.

30 year old defensive backs coming off 2 different surgeries typically aren't great investments.

Sherman tweeted this after the win then later deleted it.

Doc says that his other Achilles he's waiting to have a debridement on is in jeopardy as well.

I’ve always thought Sherman’s on the field play was overrated. He’s a great CB, but I’ve seen people saying he’s the greatest of the generation and that’s just simply not true. The achilles injuries scare me especially at his age and I wouldn’t want to pay for what it’s gonna take to get him. While I don’t think this would be Ed Reed 2.0, I’d be ok passing on him. Give me Trumaine Johnson instead

Sherman is still a great player, but $10 million a year with him recovering from Achilles rupture surgery on one side and removal of bone spurs on the other side that went untreated for 3 years scares me.

It was Clowney's untreated bone spurs in his heel that tipped the surgeon over on TexansTalk to not want us to draft him because it set him up for multiple injury likelihoods in his future.

Every time I think of how good Sherman is, though, I'm reminded of Brett Kollman's breakdown of him vs. Andre Johnson in 2014: https://www.battleredblog.com/2014/...-how-andre-johnson-is-molding-deandre-hopkins

I’m weary of anyone coming off an achilles injury and I can see him coming back, but yea AJ and Nuk both had pretty good success against Sherman in their matchups. Sherman was primarily covering Nuk this year as well and Nuk had a great game against Seattle, although it helps when Deshaun is throwing the ball to you. I just think there are better options who are healthy. But if Sherman does want to come here at the right price I wouldn’t be against it, def not at 10 mil tho
