Jamarcus Russell is your quarterback. Your O-line is terrible. Your receiving corps is terrible.

The Raiders are nowhere near the Texans in terms of talent, regardless of beating us last year.

Take off the homer glasses...we've all rooted for teams that have sucked at one point. This was a terrible trade and the Raiders are stupid to have done it. It isn't going to help propel you to that 7 win season you have been pining for

Nobody is as much of a realist when it comes to their football teams as I am. 6 years of being the worst team in the NFL, with a senile out-of-touch owner will do that to you.

I am not expecting more than 6 wins this season, but I do think they have enough pieces in place to where they actually could become mediocre / borderline contenders in the WORST DIVISION IN FOOTBALL (Remember how many wins the Chargers had last season?) by 2011. If (big if) somehow they continue on the small signs of improvement they showed at the end of last season by crushing the Texans and then punking Tampa Bay in their own backyard when they needed that game to make the playoffs... they could possibly be better in 2 years.

How the hell is it being a homer by knowing your team sucks so ****ing bad at drafting in the first round that by trading said 1st rounder away for a proven commodity they are actually for once making a decent decision?

Maybe you're being a homer by believing Matt Schaub is going to suddenly going to play 16 games when he's already injured... and even if he does the Texans Defense is looking subpar to say the least.

Anyway, PFT is reporting that Seymour might be pissed off to the point that he might not even report to the Raiders, which would not satisfy the terms of the deal, and the 1st rounder would go back to Al to waste on another piece of ****.

Smart money says Al is about to sign him to one of those DeAngelo Hall / Javon Walker deals that he loves so very very much.

Or they could just place the franchise tag on him after the season. If it can happen to Peppers, it can easily happen to Seymour.

Amazing how quickly Seymour jumped on a plane to Oakland as soon as the 5 day letter was issued. As expected, as soon as the Raiders threatened to end his season without pay, he's now "happy to be a Raider"

DE Richard Seymour set to fly to Oakland, telling The Herald’s Ron Borges: “I was blindsided by the whole event.”

The Chargers are going to merc the Raiders. With or without Seymour.

Expect LT to have a "I told you so" game.

can you blame him? could you imagine thinking you're about to sit down to a meal at in-n-out that you've been planning on for two months, only to find out you're eating a **** sandwich instead?

Not really as long as the owner of the **** sandwich ends up paying you 50 million dollars.

i don't care how much you're getting paid, you're still going to be upset at eating a **** sandwich when you were so close to the other.

    Its part of the business.

His family will have to cope with only seeing him once in a while for a few more years so they can all be set for life.

another bad move on the part of the raiders. they're going to suck for the next decade unless they get their personnel right.

Fixed it for ya. The Raiders are gonna suck as long as Al Davis is running things. 6 different head coaches in the last decade. Absolute terrible drafting. Terrible FAs acquisitions and trades (trading Moss for a 4th and giving a 1st for a 30 year old DE in a contract year?).

Players used to want to play for the Raiders. Now they are one of the league pariahs.

Anyone have a different opinion on the trade now? Seymour looked every bit worth the pic Al gave for him. After watching Russell and Heyward-Bey stink it up last night, the decision seems sound.

The run d looked improved for sure and if not for one defensive let down at the end and another horrible call we played well enough to win despite Russell's wayward arm.

Exactly, with this team's draft blunders on full display last night, I think we may as well just traded our 1st rounders for the next 5 years for a proven stud on the D-line.

I'm shocked the Defense held as long as it did with Jamarcus cranking out 3 and outs like nobody's business, a lot of that was excellent coverage, and the pocket collapsing around Rivers a lot quicker than he's used to seeing from the Raiders.

Ok I was wrong, he came to play. Made a big difference last night. Wouldn't mind signing him next year...
