Don't think for a second that they won't trade Tony Parker if the right deal comes around. Parker's also on the last year of his contract, and with George Hill improving, they could very well trade Parker this summer. Hell, they could probably get Al Jefferson for Parker seeing how David Kahn loves to collect point guards.

The Spurs are going no where fast. RJ thinks he can win elsewhere?

This is an exhibit that Spurs have the best management.

Morey can do great trades but he can not make Cook, Jefferies or anyone else opt out of their contract.

It's a gamble worth taking. First, he's not happy in SA. 2nd, so much money floating around this year, he might just get a much better contract this year than wait until next year, especially under new CBA.

I mean, just, huh? I have no words to explain this.
Maybe he wants to go to New York?

Hearing #spurs would be open to giving RJ a longer term deal at a per-year figure that's easier on their cap figure.

hoping the spurs could do a sign and trade for rudy gay or amare or even get iguodala

He might be worried about the new collective bargaining agreement and/or lockout and wants to lock up a long term deal instead of becoming a free agent next year with a strike looming.

    good break financially for them.

not the best thing in the world, as everyone is making it out to be. it's not like that created max cap space to go after lebron or bosh and make them a contender again. plus, i'm sure they were planning on using than expiring contract to net something good closer to the deadline.

so sure, they saved money but didn't gain cap space, and lost an asset (as a trade chip more than a player).

RJ: "15 million! Man I got kids to feed!"

But seriously, what the hell is this guy thinking.
