This is a terrible trade for NJ.

    1. RJ is going to be an Olympian, a future all-star He does everything a coach wants a player to do and more.

    2. Mobley is good, but they have Kittles and Kittles is better.

    3. They definitely don't need MoT, K-Mart is looking for big $$ and I think NJ will give it to him. But they definitely don't want MoT and his contract.

I don't think Kittles is better than Cat. In fact, Cat would prolly fit better on their team because he can actually hit an outside shot.

I think alot of members just want to get rid of francis and they see brand as an equal trade, but his game doesnt really mesh well with yao. Its pretty much impossible to get both to share the paint. But we can always do a threeway and send brand to maybe orlando for tmac. Thatd be a pretty sweet 3 way trade with SF being sent to the clips and brand goin to magic and we end up with the prize.

Seriously! I can't believe how many people on this board hate the guy. I would trade almost anyone on this team for Richard Jefferson. I think he's a great team-oriented guy who can adapt to different systems when he's placed in them. He's incredibly versatile and has a nice outside touch. If you've watched the New Jersey/Detroit series, he's single-handedly kept them in a couple games.
    No WAY Jersey trades RJ.

RJ is such an upgrade over cuttino mobley. He's a better defender, both are athletic, great finishers, though cat is much better shooter, RJ is more of a team player and smarter one. I take RJ in a heartbeat. Just dont know how.

What would help Yao more than not having to run up and down the court constantly... as he likely wouldn't have to do in a fast break up tempo scheme.

Look at the showtime Lakers. Kareem is probably the greatest half-court offensive player of all time and those guys ran at will-- without him.

If there was a trade of players that makes both sides effectively worse, this is it.

Jefferson, although a superior individual player to all our swingmen, has poor ballhandling skills, and can't shoot for **** from long range. He also needs to run like hell. These things will all hurt Yao Ming's game. We're not a running team, and we need shooters to space the floor, plus ballhandlers to take pressure off the traps and rpessure designed for Francis.

As for them, they lose RJ, while gaining MoT (who will get few minutes behind K-Mart) and get Cuttino Mobley, who is more of a one-on-one player, and not a better off the ball player than Kittles?

There are always positives. For example, they get depth up front, and Mobley is a bette defender than Kittles. As for us, Jefferson could improve our fast break, and is good at cutting to to the basket. He's also a decent rebounder.

However, the negatives FAR FAR FAR outweigh the positives in this trade.... for BOTH sides.

For those who want to retreat in time and moan over not getting Jefferson, Collins and somebody....please remember Rudy T. was NOT going to draft Jefferson anyway. RT and CD would have drafted Troy Murphy and then possibly Zach Randolph. Now, THAT is worth crying over.

Are you serious? Hitting open shots is what Kerry Kittles does. Its why he has been in the league this long. Wow.
