    Also,

If someone on the "INSIDE" is saying what those of us on the "OUTSIDE" have been saying.

It may actually be getting through.

    Gawd, I hope so...

more reason to keep voice opinion which some incorrectly interpret as "bashing" or "negativity"...

I think our real problem is that we don't wave a proven 3rd scorer to go with Cat & Steve! 2years ago Mo T. scored 12 ppg. Granted 10 of those were in the 1st quarter, but there was a 3rd option. He's stillgot 1 game before he can play. Last year KT had 14 ppg, but he has been injured this year & is having to thru that injury because of the other injured & suspended forwards. He'll become more consistant when he's healthy.

Glen Rice will will provide some scoring punch when he returns.

Eddie isn't a reliable 3rd scoring option yet.

When we get these players back, we will have a 3rd option to go to becides Steve & Cat!

Mo T was the THIRD option that year. Steve and Hakeem, then Mobley, then Mo T. When Hakeem wasn't playing, this team wasn't good that year.

I've said it a thousand times. We wouldn't have this problem if Pat Riley was coach. Rudy is a good veteran's coach, but on such a young team trying to make the playoffs, only ENFORCING stuff will work.

I think pulling Steve out and telling him then putting him back in would work. He'd be shocked for a second or two, then he'd realize that if RUDY did that, then it must be pretty damn important.

I think Rice needs to put the ball in the hoop before he says to give him the ball did you see what he did in last game

1 hoop and 1 ft didnt play 1 bit of defeance man now there a real team player for ya

Cant score Wont cover anyone but wants the freakn ball

Let a person play say wheather or not he gets get ball

as for passing the ball YES both Steve and Cat need to do more and get others players into the game better

But to say Rice needs to get the ball over Steve and Cat then I say he needs to play better when he gets his chances and from what I have seen he is not playing to damm good when he does get his chances......

Rice has a ring. Rice has playoff experience. Rice can say what he wants. He shoots better than 99.9% of the posters here and the lack of ball of movement has been easy enough for us to recognize. :D

thats why they pay him 9+ mil a yr now but in the time Rice has been here he has done pretty much nothing to earn his ROCKET paycheck

look at stats for the time the man has played fro the ROCKETS and his play does not earn him the right to call for the ball and this is what he gets the big bucks for and has not done here

you say he shoots better than the POSTERS here well I cant remeber the last time any of the posters were in a game and getting played to play ball

You want to say a man the hits 1 shot in 18 mins of play has EARNED the right to call for the ball then I think you need to look at another sport as your game LIKE baseball.....

It appears that a lot of posters here have the same mindset as our young guards. Think you know everything? I'm glad we have veteran clutch crew running this show. I'd hate to see the isolation threads you jackholes would run. Why don't you set up the next guy for an easy post? Instead you only set up your friends on the cc.net?

Guys are reading the threads and making moves, but our young hot shot posters are hogging all the keyboards. Pass on the posts and let the veterans say something every once in a while. Soon Jeff is going to half to go on 610 and talk about sharing the bbs. And I don't want to hear any jokes about how Mrs. JB is the one doing the posting!

Is that true if a certain player scores most of the time, the defense can easily find a way to break that offense? And is it also true that more various offense strategies are better than less?

verse, it's not "negativity" or "bashing" if it's intelligent criticism. And we're seeing some of that here. (including you)

This is good! Someone needed to say it. It's time for the babies buddies
    (SF/CM) to grow up.

Yeah and I also remember that monday night game when he rushed for 199 yards... quite possibly the most awesome display of running I have ever seen... The oilers only had Earl back then and they almost kicked the door in and if they hadn't come up against one of the most powerful teams in NFL history they would have kicked it Down... Anyway I seen Earl and Stevie aint now earl... He ain't no Hakeem... and he definitely aint no Magic but he is an all star he has amazing talent... Still it's a team game and if he doesn't start distributing the ball more he will get double and triple team all the time... And that will not be fun

I've always wondered what "a players coach" meant.

It seems as though it means that the players are in charge.

"Shhhhh, don't say anthing that will make the players angry.
because it's always more important to be *liked* than respected."

    Bah, humbug!!!

I know its been said by a couple of people on here that Rudy is afraid of his players and the resulting backlash if he trys to discipline them. I dont fully agree with this. I think Rudy is more of a motivator than anything else. For every underacheiver you see on this team (Cato), youll see 2 or 3 overacheivers (Mobley, Harrington, Thomas). I think this is Rudy's biggest asset. Players want to play for him because he brings out the best in them. Moochie is a good example. You were joking the other day when you made the whole "shoe contract" statement. But in reality, it has alot of validity to it. Rudy instills so much confidence in his players that after a while, it starts to backfire on him. Kind of like creaiting a monster.

I think what Rudy lacks, is structure and discipline with regards to his players.

Hopefully our guards will choose to pass the ball more! Before it is forced on them.

Codell, if you ever have time, one of these days I'll like to share some
thoughts on overachievers and underachieves and how they can be used to win.

    It's a sweet science.

YEs I think this is the problem now he has a few in the making and 1 that needs (Yao) to see discipline on the team to have a good role on the team

I think Yao see it as no leadership ..verse where he comes from being very structured and team oreantated

and Yao is 22 just became a millionaire and has no one to.....how do I say it... other than to beat him over the head and make him tow the line ....or no real discipline in his basketball day and I do belive this is what Yao needs at 1st here.....
