As much as I think that Pippen is a piece of trash, he didn't bad mouth the city. He mocked the city though. The reason Pippen was upset at Barkley was Barkley came out and told Pippen to be a man and apologize. Barkley had asked Pippen if he wanted to be traded on a gold trip and Pippen said no. A few days later the comments about the Rockets, Barkley, and even Dream later. In my eyes Pippen is gutless. Instead of helping the Rockets get to the next level he ran and hid like a coward. Meanwhile Charles re-signed with a team that was obviously in a rebuilding phase. That tells me more about Charles then it does that gutless wimp Pippen. Charles was chasing a ring, but put that on hold to help the young guys. Pippen had the rings, the championships, and the glory and ran like a coward when the pressure was on him. So Scottie, you can tell people it's nice to be here, doesn't change the fact that you stabbed us in the back, and killed our trading leverage a week after saying you wanted to stay.
Pippen was THRILLED to be traded from Houston, he actually asked to be traded to the Lakers (http://clutchcity.net/news.cfm?NewsID=537), and then went on to say that the Trailblazers were the best team he had ever played for, including the Bulls championship teams. Even Dream got in on the fun. (http://clutchcity.net/news.cfm?NewsID=8) In fact he trashed the team AGAIN (http://clutchcity.net/news.cfm?NewsID=54) in a non-stop rambling tirade.
Millenium, I remember that. I just thought Pip was a bit miffed that it was Portland. I remember him saying that, but than he was forced to spin it immediately.
