I think Deke is the laziest player on the team. By his own admission, he hasn't picked up a ball in 6 months.

The fact that the debates rage regarding T-Mac's effort and interest level perfectly capsulize the problem. If you are the star of the team, the team leader and making $21M a year, you d@mn well should NEVER have those things questioned. Its inexcusable. The act is wearing very thin. His 4 years with us have been an abject failure in terms of the ultimate measure - playoff performance. Even the Yao + Stevie + Cat lead team made it to the playoffs and had a few good effort gamesd against the Lakers. I am tired of talking about what might be, I want McGrady to deliver now or get him out of here.

Ric Bucher sucks. He is the epitome of the little white guy who knows nothing about the game, has no inside knowledge but he appeals to Joe Sixpack so he gets air time. Marc Stein probably thinks Ric Bucher is a b@tch. Bucher is right about Tmac, though but that isn't exactly difficult to do.

McGrady is a loser with a loser's work ethic. At least compared to all the other franchise players out there. The way that you can tell Tracy is a loser is that the more help you give him the less efficient he becomes and the more supposed health problems he develops. That's because he calculates the minimum amount of effort he must give to win. He always calculates wrong.

Artest gets a pass because any fool can watch him on the court and see he is an animal who is consumed with competition. If you can't see the difference between Ron and Tracy's demeanor on the court you should poke your own eyes out because you obviously don't know how to use them. I will say this about Ron, I'm tired of the in and out BS from game to game. Sit down and let that ankle heal even if it takes a month.

As far as Yao goes, yeah he is a loser so far at the NBA level but he gets points for being a competitor, an honest, candid person and a workaholic. Yao can't become the new Shaq, he can't jump like Amare and he can't handle the ball like KG but he is working to be the best he can. He is already far and away the best 7'5"+ guy to ever pick up a basketball.

Well, if Bill Simmons thinks T-Mac will be traded, then he's not going anywhere. I enjoy his columns for entertainment value, but he is dead-wrong about nearly every prediction he makes. :D

I like that point that guy made. Any other player would say the organization is not providing their franchise player enough help.

Injuries is always the built in excuse though ever season with this team mostly because of Mac work ethic. It don't matter you give the man more talent each season and he comes up less efficient the next season and this is to being lazy during the off season and in practice. He simply does not have the mind set to be a true champion because he does not motivate himself hard enough to become one.

There is no doubt that you are true, HOWEVER I think what most people are annoyed about is that if Tracy would have a little more inner competitive desire his potential is limitless. Tracy's long body combined with his athleticism and basketball iq would make him one of THE best NBA players ever if he put in a little more time in the gym. Tracy did not religiously rehab his knee as much as he could have this offseason and there is no denying that. All this drama wouldn't be an issue if he put in a little more work during the rehab process.
