It will be a tough couple weeks if I have to see my favorite player go to my least favorite team so that we can acquire the biggest b!tch in the nba and crown him our "star"

I just watched it at the 9am hour and he didn't say likely or very likely. Maybe this was "live" and not the same that showed on the 8am hour.

Personally, I think without Gasol there that might actually increase their chances of getting a Dwight Howard for Bynum deal done. Howard would be more willing to join the Lakers if he's the sole low post option, I think.

I suspect we would send them Dally too to make the salaries balance. ; )

    There's your title.

Only if it's the younger brother Gasol.

..and an early playoff exit is our championship ;)

No. It locks them out of Dwight. Dwight wants to play with Deron and other players his age, like Josh Smith.

Perhaps Atlanta is in this 3-way......

    Atlanta gets Pau
LA gets Lowry, Scola, and Marvin Williams
We get Josh Smith and a pick from Atlanta?

Seems unbalanced but a trade like this locks the Lakers out of Dwight and DWill and it is a huge enticement for Dwight to be interested in Houston since Josh Smith and CLee are his buds. And of course, where one goes, the other is going.

    DWill/whoever
    CLee/Bud
Parsons (but probably more Morris since he can shoot the bomb)
    Dwight/G. Smith
    J. Smith/Motie

Maybe not this season, but getting a player like Lowry will keep them among the top teams in the NBA for a long time!

I like how he says this isn't a homerun deal. What better deal could they get? Also Kobe isn't going anywhere, he might be a 25 mil a yr mascot in 3 years but he isn't going anywhere.

She(Hannah Storm) says "Ok, so that's a likely deal." Ric says "Right."

Hardly anything convincing (that it will actually happen) or anything like that but...yeah.

I stand corrected. He said "Likely" and "more open to the idea" of coming here.

Isnt Gasol injury prone, what if he gets hurt as soon as we get him, especially with our luck with big men.

Good. That's different from the word "likely" coming out of his mouth.

That's essentially what we're trading away, the only two guys that look like they give a crap most nights.

From Gasol's perspective, why he would be happy going to a team that would be worst than his Grizzly teams' is anyone's guess.

He obviously does not want to be the number 1 guy, and he's not so young that he can wait a couple years, should no one want to come here.

Does this deal include a reach around from Mitch Kupchak?

If we get Rondo too then this is great but highly unlikely to happen. If it really is KLow and Louie for the Spanish penis then this trade makes no sense. No reason to trade a young top ten point with a solid PF for a 31 year old all star caliber PF. There has to be something else if this is true...

Exactly. And I think when she said "likely" she means it in the context of "realistic" because Bucher had just spent 30 seconds or so saying that this wasn't the "home run deal" for Lakers fans but they need to be more realistic.

I'll post the video... first I need to correct the thread somehow.
