    Dalembert / Hill / Thabeet
    Pau / Patterson
    Parsons / Bud / Morris
    Martin / Lee
    Dragic / Flynn

2 overseas players who haven't played a minute.

Seriously? Love the Rockets but that team is crap.

    Screw Gasoft
I'd rather trade Lowry for Deron Williams first and worry about the big man later any 24 hours of a day and any week.

again... the lakers turned down Beasley for a 1st cause it would have cost them double his salary due to luxury tax...

the same analogy can be assumed for Sessions...

giving up a late first round pick to upscale the holes in your STARTING lineup is a no brainer... unless your the lakers and have A) no tradeable assets (see earlier posts) and B) are so far into the luxury tax that it is costing you millions more to do so...

Lakers are posturing and bluffing! Push away from the table, Morey!

CDave, I'm beginning to think u are Mitch Kupchak - cause yer spouting Laker propaganda to the Nth degree... ;) lol

I would hate for the Rockets to be stuck with an unmotivated Pau Gasol just like he was towards the end of his tenure in Memphis. The numbers during the end of his time with the Griz don't show how disinterested he was either, but you could tell with his body language and effort or lack thereof.

If we trade Lowry for a big man, and apparently Morey wants a softie...

    I'd rather have Bosh.

    Scola and Lowry for Bosh.

    I take it back...that's disgusting.

No to Bosh, No To Pau.

    Goodnight.

There is no way on the planet the Heat would do that, even if you did want it.

Yep. Bosh has been quietly great all season. Pau too if you think about it.

Edit: I'm ready for a major shake-up. I'm sick of waiting for Deron Williams and/or Dwight Howard walking through that door.

The Rockets don't have a go-to-guy, nobody that demands a double team at the end of the game, nobody that can create their own shot. Like it or not Gasol can do that. The fact that the Rockets have a winning record in close games really surprises me. I'm not a fan of Gasol but the team needs an all star caliber player that can take over at the end of the game whether is scoring or opening shots for others and he can do that.

Pau has always been a softie, without motivation and past his prime, you'd see a worse version than Memphis' Pau prior to Lakers trade.

Giving away the 2 best players of the team (Scola is slowly returning to his best shape) is too much IMO.

Then don't be surprised it's going to a minor trade... or a trade set up for a bigger one.

Laker screwed Memphis to get Gasol... so they will look to do the same to move him

It turns out that wasn't really the major issue that killed the discussion Kjay!

They turned it down because Kahn didn't want just one first round pick. He wanted both of their first round picks. And for a player on an expiring contract that Minnesota acquired for two second round picks only a year ago and now is looking to dump because the kid is a head case and only puts in the effort about 25% of the time.

if the Lakers were preoccupied with the Luxury Tax they wouldn't have bothered to inquire about Beasley in the first place.

Well Sessions much like Dragic, has been a backup point guard for his entire career.

Giving up a number one pick for that caliber of player is silly. i don't ever remember the Lakers squandering a number one pick on a player who couldn't even crack a starting lineup.

Especially not in a year where the talent level is expected to be better than usual for the last third of the first round. if they're going to trade these picks they can do better than either one of these prospective deals.

Always a possibility. But Kupchak is notoriously conservative and doesn't like to make deals with the frequency that Morey does. Kupchak listens to a lot of prospective deals but makes very few trades compared with other GM's.

Much better chance he's not posturing, he's just gradually backing out of these talks with Houston. At the end of the day, I just don't think he really wants to trade Gasol.

It would be a hilarious trade because Morey would somehow make use of his entire stash of 2009 lottery busts. The only player I'd feel bad about losing in that trade is Lowry, so I'm guessing LA wouldn't do it.

We'd have depth issues at PG (though Lee can backup Kobe and Dragic), so we'd need to pick up someone from the scraps.
