Like MadMax posted, all this crap could have happened with Stoops not knowing a single thing. I'm not saying he didn't know, but it easily could have been hidden from him.

In fact, all this stuff got brought up when the new owners of "Big Red" started going through the invoices and saw what was going on. They called OU and OU started their own investigation of the whole thing.

Yeah, everything I've read since seems to contradict that, but it was a UH fan who posted it there...

The only reason these players ever get punished is for the athletic department to save its own ass. Can't let anything tarnish Bob Stoops' rep, especially some slap-on-the-wrist NCAA sanctions. Fact is, everyone knows all about the booster system and tacitly encourage it by allowing it to go on. They offer the moon to these guys to get them to go to school there, and then everybody acts shocked when the stars actually take them up on the offer. The schools make so much money off football that it's plain wrong that the stars don't get a piece of the pie. God knows they're not getting an education.

UH could use some good players, but I hope this guy isn't expecting the same kind of star treatment he was getting in Oklahoma. UH doesn't exactly roll like that.
