I am 100% accurate. He approached Kamala first. This is well documented

I don't know if you realize this but the same arguments conservatives use to defend free speech is why DTC advertising is still legal in the US.

Big Pharma can advertise targeting HCPs around the world. If you don't understand the similarities between Elon and Big Pharma, then you don't understand business.

The actual quote from Kennedy being fact checked was:

“Why do we have Froot Loops in this country that have 18 or 19 ingredients, and you go to Canada and it’s got two or three?” he said in an interview with MSNBC’s Vaughn Hillyard last week while criticizing the Food and Drug Administration.

That statement was wrong, and the NYT article should have been more explicit about what he said.

It is absolutely hilarious that MAGA folks will criticize NY Times or other mainstream media, but then rely on social media which is exponentially less accurate, and almost always more editorially written. That's a recipe for someone to be misinformed.

I’m not planning on moving from the country but if I had an immune compromised child I would. If we see a significant drop in vaccinations we will see a major drop in herd immunity. That will put those children most at risk.

A healthy dose of skepticism is warranted for media in general, but especially for any selective quotes on social media. At least journalists are held accountable to a degree when they make mistakes at prestige media companies like NYT -- that is in-built for those companies to maintain their reputation. By comparison, there is absolutely no accountability for political influencers on social media.

I'm curious how Kennedy intends to make McDonald's use beef tallow for their fries. I can't keep track of where Republicans stand on government meddling into the decision-making of private companies and deregulation.

Yes. Anything that seems damaging, newsworthy, shocking, incriminating, etc from any media should ALWAYS be just the starting point and not the end point. Investigate, verify, and seek to discover the biggest picture.

it's not about making them use tallow, it's about ending any incentive/influence from government that discourages its use

RFK claimed Canadian fruit loops are healthier (spit take) becasue they have only 2 or 3 ingredients (they have 27 like the US).

If you are worried that food coloring is unhealthy, then maybe you shouldn't eat ANY fruit loops Canadian or US - cause they are both super unhealthy.

And if Kennedy wants to ban this stuff in food - well, why is it that when Dems tried to do this it was "regulations are crushing businesses!" and "nanny state!"

I am all for the removal of these substances from out foods - and if Kennedy pushes to get rid of toxic substances from our food, air and water, well, that will make him a great liberal indeed.

How Science Lost America’s Trust and Surrendered Health Policy to Skeptics
Voters still angry over Covid-19 measures backed Trump’s embrace of RFK; officials worry they won’t have ample clout for the next crisis

    https://www.wsj.com/health/healthca...d?st=FxqgRL&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink

    excerpt:

The rise of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. from fringe figure to the prospective head of U.S. health policy was fueled by skepticism and distrust of the medical establishment—views that went viral in the Covid-19 pandemic.

People once dismissed for their disbelief in conventional medicine are now celebrating a new champion in Washington. Scientists, meanwhile, are trying to figure how they could have managed the pandemic without setting off a populist movement they say threatens longstanding public-health measures.

Lingering resentment over pandemic restrictions helped Kennedy and his “Make America Healthy Again” campaign draw people from the left and the right, voters who worried about the contamination of food, water and medicine. Many of them shared doubts about vaccines and felt their concerns were ignored by experts or regarded as ignorant.

Kennedy merged a crowd of Covid-era skeptics with people who long distrusted mainstream medicine and food conglomerates. Together, they helped return Donald Trumpto the White House. With the president-elect’s selection of Kennedy to head the Department of Health and Human Services, the medical establishment is bracing for an overhaul of U.S. health policy.

Health authorities who beat the pandemic worry about losing more trust from the people they worked to save. Doctors, scientists and public-health officials are asking themselves how they can win it back. Among their postelection revelations: Don’t underestimate or talk down to those without a medical degree.

According to 2022 births that would be 477 deaths. Along with 50,248 hospitalizations. Nice!
