No surprise here - an antivaxxer chooses an antivaxxer to attempt to link autism to vaccines.
This guy has already had one study on this retracted due to very poor methodology and for manipulating data to support his beliefs. Why would you not assume he'd try it again?

Vaccine critic’s apparent selection to head HHS autism study shocks experts

    https://www.statnews.com/2025/03/26...nks-led-by-vaccine-critic-scientists-shocked/

The apparent choice of David Geier — who does not have a medical degree and who was disciplined by the State of Maryland’s Board of Physicians for practicing medicine without a license — to conduct a study looking for the link that HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has long asserted exists, despite mountains of evidence to the contrary, struck many as a surreal choice.

People who have followed Geier and his father over the years were dumbfounded that he may have been chosen by Kennedy to conduct a study on the notion that childhood vaccines have led to an increase in autism rates.

It’s like hiring Andrew Wakefield,” said Dorit Reiss, a law professor at UC Law San Francisco who studies the anti-vaccine movement.

The goal here is not to try and get an answer. The goal here is to provide RFK Jr. with the answer that he wants to hear. It’s shameful. It is shameful. Children in this country deserve better than Robert F. Kennedy Jr. or David Geier,”

Shut up and look on the bright side.

If Governor DeSantis has his way, you have move to Florida and have that child working weekday nights from 8pm to 4am by the time they are 14-15 years old. That extra money will allow your child to offset tariff costs for a first car.

Besides - we all have to sacrifice, measles isn't a big deal, I heard the mom of the kid that died from measles say she wouldn't go back and vaccinate.

PS - Hank Aaron died from getting vaccinated - you may want to make sure your wife's papers are in order and that you are making proper political donations.

Kevin Griffis was director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s office of communications from 2022 until last week.

this is his op ed piece on the WSJ

Friday was my last day leading communications at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. I left my job because I believe public health policy must always be guided by facts and not fantasy.

    ..........

in my final weeks at the CDC, I watched as career infectious-disease experts were tasked with spending precious hours searching medical literature in vain for data to support Kennedy’s preferred treatments.

All this misdirection is a waste of federal dollars that will do nothing to control the outbreak. It also could cost lives.

All this misdirection is a waste of federal dollars that will do nothing to control the outbreak. It also could cost lives.

Public health communications should be about empowering people with reliable, science-based information, so they can make their own health decisions.
Unfortunately, we can’t count on Kennedy’s HHS for that anymore. My first-hand experience over the recent troubling weeks convinced me that Kennedy and his team
are working to bend science to fit their own narratives, rather than allowing facts to guide policy.

Instead of seeking guidance about how to combat the measles outbreak in Texas and New Mexico from the world-leading epidemiologists and virologists he oversees,
[Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.] is listening to fringe voices who reinforce his personal beliefs.”

RFKJ’s push for vitamins in response to measles outbreak is a replay of
    Trump 1.0's
push for people ingesting cleaining solutions to fend off COVID

This is straight from the "Morons listen to morons and will be scammed into doing moron things" files.

I don't think you can help these people. I feel quite bad for the normal people around them.

What's the plan after gutting the experts? Quack meds for infectious disease, conspiracy theories, tin foil hat remedies, and denial that there is even a threat? This dude is unfit for his position. He got the job out of loyalty to the orange man.

Mass layoffs begin at federal health agencies

Some employees at federal health agencies began receiving notices of dismissal on Tuesday morning, according to reports, days after the US department of health and human services (HHS) announced it planned to cut 10,000 full-time jobs.

An email addressed to an employee at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), obtained by CNN, reads:

This action does not reflect directly on your service, performance or conduct.

The email states that the person would be placed on administrative leave and would no longer have access to building as of Tuesday, the outlet reports.

HHS secretary Robert F Kennedy announced the planned cuts as part of a sweeping organization of the department which, through its agencies, is responsible for tracking health trends and disease outbreaks, conducting and funding medical research, and monitoring the safety of food and medicine, as well as for administering health insurance programs for nearly half of the country, Associated Press reports.

10000000x time why tweet sucks. There was full READ access. He was concern about these guys messing with the database, so he refused to grant them WRITE access.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Shortly before he was forced to resign, the nation’s top vaccine regulator says he refused to grant Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s team unrestricted access to a tightly held vaccine safety database, fearing that the information might be manipulated or even deleted.

Marks agreed to give Kennedy's associates the ability to read thousands of reports of potential vaccine-related issues sent to the government's Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, or VAERS. But he would not allow them to directly edit the data.

“Why wouldn’t we? Because frankly we don’t trust (them),” he said, using a profanity. “They’d write over it or erase the whole database.”

Health secretary RFK Jr. endorses the MMR vaccine — stoking fury among his supporters : Shots - Health News : NPR

"The most effective way to prevent the spread of measles is the MMR vaccine," Kennedy said in the third paragraph of a lengthy post on the social media platform X. Kennedy made the post following meetings on Sunday in Gaines County, Texas with the families of two children who have died of measles during a recent outbreak in the state. He also said he had instructed the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to "supply pharmacies and Texas run clinics with needed MMR vaccines," along with other medical supplies.

Kennedy's endorsement is in line with all available scientific evidence on the MMR vaccine. "A single dose is roughly 93% effective at preventing illness, and the second dose gets that up to 97%," says Dr. Paul Offit, director of the Vaccine Education Center at the Children's Hospital in Philadelphia. According to the Texas Department of State Health Services, just 10 of the 481 measles cases recorded as of April 4 were in partially or fully vaccinated individuals — that's around 2% of all overall cases. So far three unvaccinated people, the two children in Texas and an adult in New Mexico, have died from the disease.

    Anti-vaccine anger
"I'm sorry, but there is no defense for this poorly worded statement," wrote Dr. Sherri Tenpenny, a prominent anti-vaccine activist who once claimed during a legislative hearing in Ohio that the COVID vaccine could cause patients to become magnetized, allowing them to stick "spoons and forks" all over their bodies.

Hard to hear, but doesn't bother me.

He's not as hardcore or stuck in his views. When you went from being fully anti-vax to saying the MMR vaccine is your best option, he didn’t stay rigid. But we’ll see if he changes his mind in a few weeks
