In the following interview he seems tighter with Harden and maybe Westbrook. He seems to be good friends with Scott Brooks, though. That's a negative for the Rockets. The article also says his ultimate goal is to be a head coach in the NBA. I would think his chances at being a head coach are much better here since D'Antoni's getting up there. One interesting tidbit is that Bill Fitch seems to have given him his first assistant coaching gig, promoting him from video coordinator/scout. I also noticed he mentions that one downside to the job is the time away from the family who are staying in OKC while he's in Toronto. I wonder if they're still in OKC? Houston's a lot closer and easier to get to. http://elaccampusnews.com/2015/12/09/19749/
Kalamian certainly worked wonders with Jeremy Lamb, helping him grow from a highly touted first-round pick to a former highly touted first-round pick who's still hanging around because he's young and once had potential. Joking aside, I'd seriously love to have him on our staff. <BR>

Great, another failure to recruit a free agent! Cannot blame Coach Kalamian for choosing to stay with Patrick Patterson.
who's next to turn us down? KD or Horford? Kidding aside, who's our back up for Kalamian? any respectable ones out there ala the status of Rex? Adrian Griffin?
Whoever it is I hope they're defensive minded. We're going to need all the defensive assistants we can to counter our offensive minded head coach.
Makes sense. Wasn't a lead assistant gig here. The Wizards won't be as good as the Raptors. Dude isn't spending time away from his family to see his career go backwards. He's looking for a head coaching gig. Being the lead assistant for a team that goes far in the playoffs is his best chance, and no reason Toronto can't do that again next year. That said, he shouldn't do that for long. If he's passed over again next year, he may want to change locale at that point.
