He did not lead the Bears to the Super Bowl, Brian Urlacher and their Defense did. Rex is a scrub just like Schaub.

The Texans problems are bigger than QB.

Folks need to realize they are just a crappy team and their is no easy button fix.

The best player on their team is Kris Brown, the Kicker. That says a lot.

You seriously think Kris Brown is their best player?

To be fair, in their Superbowl season, Grossman was far from a scrub. He had 7 games with a QB rating of 100+, and 10 with 80+. Towards the end of that season, their defense was faltering and the offense was scoring a whole lot of pts a game to win some shootouts.

He did mix some truly beyond terrible games in there (a 1.4 and 0.0 rating, for example), and he sucked the following two seasons. But that Superbowl season, he was a big part a pretty good offense. 5 games into the season, he was being talked about as the MVP favorite.

Terrible nonsense cut the BS, its not Schaub, its Kubiak and his lack of imagination on offense. No excuse for letting the top receiver in the league catch only 5 passes for 35 yards. Kub go back and review the Superbowl tapes see what Arizona did with Fitzgerald when the Steelers put double coverage on him. Run cross routes to the middle of the field. Enough said Grossman is going to be worse than Schaub in this current gameplan and then you kids will ask for Orlovsky to become your savior.

I would be very interested in seeing how many times the Jets blitzed and how many yards per blitz the Texans managed.

The point being that Grossman would likely be on his *ss as much as Schaub.

It was amazing how they would send 3 people and we couldnt do a thing about it.

I just learned today, after all this time, that Matt cant call audibles at the line...I think that is just ridiculous. If the coaches arent going to adjust their play calling in a situation like that, then the QB needs to be the one that is able to do it.

When you have a defense that is sending the house, you need to be able to throw in some hot routes and make gains of 4-7 yards per pass play. If you can achieve that, then the defense will lay off a bit. If you dont make adjustments, you are just feeding the blitz hungry defense. Game over.

Urlacher? According to the overrated players of the NFL thread not to long ago, he was in the top 10! So that means Sexy Rexy did lead them to the SB.

This is ridiculous, one game that they stink it up & you go ape sh**! What a joke of a thread.

It could be worse. Like the Panthers, who's QB threw four INT's yesterday and now has nine in his last two games. And they gave him a five year extension in the offseason, and completely ignored adding anyone to push him for his job.

Can't place all the blame on Mcnair. Capers was regarded as a good hire for an expansion team (he took Carolina a long way in their 2nd year). Kubiak and Smith have outdrafted the entire league the last few years, and we have steadily improved. That being said, this is a make or break year for Kubiak especially. But as an owner, you can't just cut bait every time things are down. You have to give management a chance to develop things or you'll never get off the ground.

Besides, it's not like he hashed up guys like Art Shell and hired a pawn like Lane Kiffen. THAT is an owner who deserves blame.

Yes Kris Brown is their most consistent player, and if it was not for him, they would stink worse than they already do.

Looks like Shaub is hurt, you may get your wish with Rex, but dont expect him to help much.

Its time for Kubiak and staff to go. This whole 'its my fault' woe is me philosophy just aint getting the job done.
If you are trying to 'build' a team focused around a ferocious and non giving defense, your coaching staff should emulate that.

I do however think McNair has tried to hard to 'play it safe' and keep a 'squeaky clean' squad, and he's paying for that dearly.

Just because a player is the most consistent does not mean the player is the best.

I think you are missing the point.
The team depends HEAVILY on Kris Brown, and he ALWAYS delivers.
That is more than I can say for any other player on the team.

I understand some folks think Kickers are a dime a dozen, but they often are the ones that Win or Lose Games. Just ask the Patriots.

Bottom line, if they didnt have Kris Brown, they would probably have a lot more L's

What's really sad is that "we want Rex" chants actually happened yesterday in the 2nd half.
Pathetic how short some memories are. Maybe we could bring in Chris Sims too.

Kubiak's inability to inject passion and horrible play calling murdered us yesterday. This coaching staff fails to utilize the team strengths.
The only difference we'll see with Sex Cannon is an additional 3 turnovers a game.

Random thought: That thread that some random poster created and people keep treating like it came from an actual news source

As a Bears fan, I have to say Grossman is a total tossup in terms of what your going to get but if you can't protect your QB doesn't matter if you have Jesus back there you ain't gonna win.
