ReWatching 2011 finals right now

    They're ok, I've seen better in recent and past years.

    this team was something special they were down by 8-10 points in the 4th multiple times vs multiple opponents vs lakers vs okc and vs miami (if recall well similar happened vs portland that year) and often manage to come back

    edit:

    there must have been at least 8-10 games, in their championship run where they were down by 10 in the 4th or second half and they still managed to win the game

    It was their defense. OKC was helpless when the Mavs clamped down on them late. Their basic playground style of offense completely fell apart. The Lakers team chemistry was long gone because of Pau's girlfriend problems.

    Another thing about that Mavs team I respect is Caron Butler was their 2nd best player. He blew out his knee mid-season and they still won it all.

    At the time, it felt dirty watching them win and not being disgusted by it. But their wonderful sweep of the Lakers earned them a temporary pass.
