That year Schaub put up big numbers against prevent defenses for the most part. The Texans offense couldn't get going in the 1st half but would pick it up in the 2nd half when opposing defenses took their foot off the gas. So I believe you are right.
Shcaub put up those numbers for several years. Favre was 41 and going through a midlife crisis, hence the sexts to young women.
Previous to the Texans 1st playoff year _ Schaub was always pretty much playing from behind. But I was just pointing out that fact. No way am I getting into the Schaub vs Favre debate. No sir...
I have no explanation on why when some teams get comfortable leads they go to a prevent defense. But prevent defenses are historically easier to move the ball against.
I doubt teams immediately went into prevent as soon as they got a lead. Typically it's a late game strategy
True... And I haven't went through the trouble of checking if Schaub put up a majority of his numbers in the 1st half or the 2nd half and I'm not going to bother.
Well it's still crazy to think that Schaub put up similar numbers as Favre during Favre's all time greatest statistical season.
In his defense, I was 30 years old before I realized it WASN'T "intensive purposes". The two sound remarkably alike.
