Someone has mentioned in an earlier thread that the hernia injury he suffered at the beginning of last season really hampered his explosiveness. According to Rudy's scouting (Rudy was the Rockets' best scout), the one thing about Boki that got Rudy salivating was his explosiveness to the basket. He was supposed to be quick, tall, and aggressive. Well, he is still tall for a SF.
when boki played did you ever see any huge upside? like the first time i saw ginobili play my thoughts were that he was gonna be good because how fast he is and how well he can play defense. i have never had a thought like that with boki. just because he is a good shooter means nothing. turkcan was a good shooter too.
Just because he is doing well, you say this... You might as well have been saying that Ginobli will be happy to ever even be half the player BOKI is...
Regardless of what my take on that is, my point was that your opinion is most rational to YOU just like my opinion is more rational t me, and Yetti's opinion is more rational to him. Proclaiming that someone is the most rational guy in the world because you agree with him, and proclaiming that EEEEEEEEEEEEVERYONE else doesn't get it is just irrational. As for your point, quickness is not the core of Boki's game. He may not be a Peja type shooter, but he's still one of the best shooters on our team, and a good shooter relativeto the league. He also has a sweet jumper. JVG hasn't adjusted to the zone rules well, so he doesn't know how to utilize Boki to cover up his mediocre defense and use his zone-breaking capabilities. Let's not forget that he's a good rebounder, is tall, and cuts to the basket well. I don't think we have the proper system for him, but I believe that he could be relatively succesful in Milwaukee or Utah for example.
Boki seems to play better with time....the dude has had no consistent time on the floor.....sure he did at the beginning and I thought he is deserving of more too....Jackson has been a pleasant addition, but work him in some minutes...his D is njot that bad....same as peja....he seems to play with confidence more this year than last....
