I agree that the money thing can be a cop out when college is concerned. Many kids pay for their own college even if the parents are able to help out and don't. My main point is that kids that come from a lower socio-economic background don't get near the opportunity in school growing up as even a middle class student. I don't see that many college programs/AP classes, etc in lower income school districts. That is where the real disadvantage comes from. Not saying you can't do well, but I'm just saying it is harder to do it in my opinion.
This whole story seems a little odd to me. You can make a lot more money being your own boss? So why are you (at age 31) applying to a bunch of fast food joints that, for the most part, only hire high school kids part time? Yeah, sure, whites can experience racism...it is just stupid to bring up because it is generally so isolated and, in the long run, powerless. When whitey establishment discriminates, though, that is a much higher level of power, more broad, and has a huge historical context. White people who complain about racism = funny, dumb, pathetic, worthless, and any other mean words. As my favorite t-shirt says, "Whitey will pay".
Wow. people can walk all over white people in america today and they cannot do anything about it. If a white person stands up to any minority, they are considered racist. It is completly absurd. Minorities get a ton of oppourtunites and are allowed to get away with way more than white people can and that is a fact.

I'm sorry but I don't see any racism here. If anything, he wouldn't even have bothered to read your application if he wasn't going to hire a white person. Maybe they didn't liek the way you presented yourself or whatever. I really am struggling to see where there was any racism involved. Summary of story: you were told to go in for an interview. you went in, did the interview, and didn't get hired. Its partially true ... If a similar derogatory term (to whitey or cracker as someone else said) was used about any other race besides white people, then the person would probably be banned. I understand the point you are trying to make, but is what you do and the terms you use any better than any of the other racists you hate so much?

Who is making value judgments about word choice? Certainly not I. I am just throwing hate at the white devil. Why? Because it is fun. Because whitey is dumb.
