I understand your point. My contention is that I find Falwell more then just a man who I disagreed w/ politically. To put it nicely, I don't think he even registers as a decent human being. If some stranger came up to me reciting the same crap he did, that's one thing. To end up having the influence and political clout he did and attempting to convert an entire country for the hatred of fellow human beings strictly on sex or religion blows my mind. The only thing I can credit to him is that he stopped short of asking people to use violence of those groups he hated. But quite frankly I don't know how his absurd comments couldn't be used as inciteful ammunition for the extremists. Bottom line: he wasn't just a person I didn't like or disagreed with. I feel he was harmful to a peaceful society in many ways. Anyways, I don't celebrate his death, or the death of anyone for that matter. But I won't stop saying his legacy was utter crap just because of his recent passing. I think it's crazy that some news stations are reflecting on his life, I feel his passing deserves no attention whatsoever. Actually I think it sucks I've spent this much time on a thread about him. With that said, I think I've said my point. My posts are really skewed more towards 'what's appropriate to say right after someone dies' rather than Falwell.
True point.........nothing you can do..............except you forgot one important thing...............the effect someone spitting on your grave would have on family and friends, before the dirt has even settled.
i dont wish him any more ill will then he deserves i wish him to rest in peace. if the things he did in life were right or wrong i dont know. but along with him and everything in this world i think he will get what he deserves for what he did. BUT in my opinion there are good things and bad things that come from religion and i think he is on the bad side. so who knows
why do we have to show "class". i mean, what exactly does "class" mean anyway? i always find it funny when a person doesnt agree with someone they always gotta throw out the no class comment. fact is alot of people dont like the guy.
I guess I can haunt the bad and classless people if it should happen. Or maybe tell my children and internet pedestrians to avenge my honor through ghost vision.
