    thats funny that he cant stop talking like thompson. i have the crieterion sp* collection edition of that movie and it has a few interviews with thompson on there and they act almost identical.

    they have been talking about making this for a few years and i remember marilyn manson wanting to play willy wonka. i think if tim burton is directing than m.m. would have been perfect. he has a great combination of sinister charm. plus he can sing and dance. w/ tim burton he could have really made it a different movie-dark and creepy.

    i like all the music, but hopefully they leave out the "cheer up charlie" song.

    I hope you say that in jest. Casting Marilyn Manson would be the most stupid thing that they could do. When I heard they were remaking the movie, I kept thinking that they couldnt find someone that could play Willy Wonka. I had never considered Johnny Depp and I dont think they could have picked anyone better. I think Tim Burton is a great choice for director also.

    Does anybody else get the feeling this is gonna be like that video game, Alice, where we see a creepy horror version of Alice in Wonderland? I'm just thinking about Burton's previous works. I think the obvious choice would have been Robin Williams, but I'm still interested to see how this movie turns out.
