    With guys like Artest and Francis on our team, I can see any team try to "punk" us now. I don't know if anyone remembers, but Steve was the only one last season that was giving out hard fouls when he played. You know the fouls I'm talking about, the "No layups!" Ron Artest type fouls. Lets see somebody try to call this team "Soft" again.

    Wow... these clips really take me to a great trip down memory lane. Steve Francis was my favortie player EVER at the time. Also great to hear Calvin Murphy, brings back some very powerful memories. Thanks for posting that.

    Did it occur to anyone that Steve might have one of his best seasons this year?
    WHY? This is Steve's last year on his contract. It can very well be a make or break season for him. He's gonna have to get into the best or close to best shape in his career. Just like Artest who is in a contract year, and will have to behave to get a new contract, Steve will have to get into shape to get his contract. Of course his injury might have had a lot to do with his stats declining. I hope that was the case. One thing is for sure though, he does not have any more excuses. He has had surgery to repair whatever is wrong,he needs to get in to shape and prove he still can play.

    Last year could have been Steve's last year on his contract ... he had a player option. There is always a chance I guess, but no one at the Toyota Center is counting on him. I would be stunned if Francis gives us anything this year.

    I don't think Steve even cares that this is his contract year or going after more money this point in his career. If he truly wanted the money, he would have went to Heat or Clippers for the MLE, on top of the $30mil Blazers buy out. He just wants to be home in Houston. I'm sure he would want to resign with Houston after this season IF they wanted him back again.

    thats a little harsh clutch, you have to give some leeway for the simple fact that he wore those pajama jerseys, i personally think those are what messed up his knee

    just looking at them messed up mine, and my knees dont even have eyeballs

    seeing the past makes me all the more excited about this season

    happy 12th earth rotation clutchfans

    he might give us next to nothing production-wise, but i'm interested to see what they could get if they throw his $3M ending contract in a deadline package for a last minute addition.

    maybe, steve/head --> vet PG?

    I remember this game like it was yesterday. Damn time sure does fly. I enjoyed the Barkley/Francis tag team while it lasted. Barkley was the old man past his prime yet he was still ballin and he took Stevie under his wing like a mentor and probably taught him a thing or two.
