*BUMP* Just wanted to come in here and give some good words to Dan. I used his resume service in anticipation and getting laid off (and I was) and was able to get a better job offer shortly thereafter. It's worth the money just to go through your work history with someone new and to recall everything you've accomplished. Just doing this alone will make you a better interviewer, so to have your interviewing ability improved plus getting a great resume (I have received several compliments) makes using his service a no-brainer. I will no doubt be reaching out to him again in a couple months, just for the sake of staying up to date. I certainly did better in my interview - and had a much better resume (obv) - because I did reach out to him. No unemployment for me, thankyouverymuch! So, thanks Dan! And to everyone else: if there's any chance you'll need to be looking for a job soon, think hard about getting your resume perfected.
Dandorotik, ever work with academics? I have job security but am getting antsy. Sometimes this places basically gives me hives.
Sure- living in Lubbock, which is basically a college town (Texas Tech University), I've worked with many in my field. Send me a message through this: http://www.100percentresumes.com/contact_resume_writer.html
Well, Haymitch, it's always a joint thing. My clients that are successful are always ones who are proactive in their job search (had someone ask for a refund once- he sent out 3 resumes in 6 months. Oy vey). So, kudos to you, sir, for making it happen.
Glad to see you bounced back stronger Haymitch. And Dan definely does do really good work. I've never seen it first hand, but all his reviews here are glowing and his advice is always solid.
That's because I listen to what HR departments say rather than some advice I create on my own just to be cool. Wanna know what to put on a resume? ASK THE PEOPLE THAT READ THEM FOR A LIVING. That one guideline by itself has enabled me to maintain a successful business for ... 17 years now? Whoah. Getting old.
Dan's awesome- used him last year and landed a great new job within a couple of months of hitting the pavement hard with the new product. got invited to test for three out of four positions I was serious about, I advanced in two of those and was able to turn down an interview for one of the remaining two after placing high on the eligibility list for the job I ultimately accepted.
Dandorotic Was going to get one done but felt my business would best be suited by a Clutchfan! What's your email?
