Fox news is calling the Governor race... Rick Perry http://www.foxnews.com/politics/youdecide2006/races.html?TX
Wow, according to CNN.com, with 71% of the precincts reporting in the VA senate race: Webb: 785,445 Allen: 785,435
so, just read there's some question about the cardin call- may have been premature. not saying he doesn't win, but there's a lot of absentee ballots, and steele's been up in early voting, actual numbers, not exist polls.
Or at least Independent. It is a shame to lose middle roaders like Chafee in the senate, but it his own fault for keeping a label/party (Republican) whose center has overall moved to the extreme right. Looks to me the Dems will fall 1 senate seat short. Dems will have house, Pelosi speaker. Cheney will have tiebreaker in senate. Lame duck Bush and cabinet in exec wing. Shapes up as a totally divided government, heck of a lot better than it has been. BTW what moderate Repubs are left in the senate: Snow, Collins, anyone else?
