Tester's doing OK... still more than half the precincts around Billings are out. He also has enough strength to keep Burns' margins manageable in the rural areas.

Claire McCaskill is giving a victory speech.

    I can't believe she won.

McCaskill's claiming victory just like Webb did before her. This is balls.

It looks very, very much like we just ran the table.

To paraphrase Uprising, the American people have spoken. And they have rejected George Bush's failed presidency. Way to go, America. You did good.

I know why Webb declared victory, but I don't know why McCaskill didnt wait for Talent to concede.

Looks like Talent is giving the concession speech or he's just randomly rambling at the podium

well let's hope the dems can do a better job than the repubs.

the market should be moving tomorrow with dems taking both.

Well, it looks like a Dem lost a seat in GA by about 1,000 votes. So far, that's the only lost seat for Dems in either the House or Senate.

    BAM!

Webb now ahead by about 12,000 votes... that's very close to having enough to not have an automatic recount.

Considering there are something like 2.3 or 2.4 million votes, he'd need about 23,000-24,000 votes to avoid the automatic recount, so I wouldn't say anything just yet. I don't see how he'll double his lead with the miniscule amount of votes that are remaining.

Automatic recount is .5%, not 1%.
