I think what coach poop does works with a team this old. Play them 12 deep. Rest only if the injury is legit. Don't play weak because you don't want to introduce bad habits and let go of that killer figure we earned up to this point
i honestly don't think anyone can challenge them in the first round so rest now and shake off the rust against whoever they play in the first round.
I lean towards rest but there is something to be said for winning out and having the confidence that a long winning streak brings.
Green has come a long way on offense. I would like to see how he does on defense with mostly reserves. Opposing athletic long 3's give us big problems. Ariza struggles against them. Only Luc matches well in that situation. Green's weakness obviously is defense, and passing. I hope he can show some improvement in these vital areas.
I want harden to be MVP. Some sucks channel media support leborn. I want harden to defeat him with a better statistics to shout up those big mouth and those, who gets a lot of advertisements fee unfaired media
Will be at the game in SA tomorrow... Last game I went to, Courtney Lee was our starting SG. So I desperately hope we aren't resting. After that, rest them all!
The Media were saying the Warriors was resting over a Month ago! they said playoffs is what matters.. Let us rest!
It is really tempting to play the Rest card. I think that is a bit overblown. Everyone is scared out of their minds about injuries. You rest if needed and you manage minutes, but otherwise you got to play. You can't play timid, that gets you in bad habits and perhaps leaves you more likely to injury. Just play hard and smart and manage rotations. Keep the rhythm and let the chips fall where they may.
Half-Games mess with stats -- and I can't blame players for not doing it more than once. Just give guys 25-30 minutes or DNP them.
Rest. NBA screwed us with 1 All-Star this year, time for the Rockets to DNP all their starters. In a 7 game series, you need to rest mind and body. Most likely, it will be in and out for the Rockets players. No way, Harden and CP3 both plays back-to back games against Flakers and King Nothing.
Of the games to "rest" yeah those road games vs LA and SAC are likely candidates. Initially I thought the Rockets might do selective rest vs ATL/CHI/PHX and then ramp up a bit for the SAS/WASH/PDX/OKC run as a primer for the playoffs and then ramp down for the last two games.
What's there left to win, though? We've accomplished our goal in the regular season. Also, losing due to your starters resting is not the same as losing because your team gave its all. Going 0-6 if you don't have your starters playing in the regular rotation won't affect morale.
Play them like 28 mins a game but require that they play to win those minutes. Then get it up to around 36-38 by the last 2 games
We didn't win anything yet. Not even clinched 1st seed throughout the playoffs... We need to keep playing the way we played to keep morale & confidence up. Rest only injured(even minor way) and not force heavy minutes on anyone and we should be good. We don't need any vacation distractions the dynamic of the group is good as it is. Even though I see some regression in overal focus, MDA needs to cut that
Our last game against SAC is one I would rest Harden, CP3, Capela, and PJ. I would give Ariza limited minutes and would start Gordon, GG, Luc, Ryno and Tarik. Joe, Markel, RJ, Tim Q and Zhou would get minutes with the younger guys playing the most. No need to worry about a win or rhythm, but instead get the core ready for play-offs.
These guys play ball all year around they won't get rusty with a little rest in the final 6 games. Remember Ariza took a couple weeks off and when he came back he looked amazing with so much more energy and his shot was falling. I think you will see similiar results with Cp3 and Harden.
