Oh man...just terrible news. I loved him so much. He was so funny and brought everyone so many laughs. He was a Dad to all of us. He also acted in the Rush (band) concert intro video for the Rush 30th anniversary tour where he introduced the band on stage. I was floored to even think he was a Rush fan. I was just watching a YouTube roast/tribute to him by his fellow actors the other night. So sad to lose him now. RIP
Terrible news. I still watch king of queens religiously after all these years and he was one of the main reasons. RIP
Tough weekend of losses. Little Richard,Roy Horn, Andre Harrell, Betty Wright, now this comedic genius. Sigh.
rip, first knew him from seinfeld as a kid. Also i think it sucks that now people have to declare that someone died from other causes that's not coronavirus. I dunno I feel like people now assumes everything is coronavirus related.
serenity now! i always thought a great spin-off would have been jerry and georges parents at del boca vista. it would have been gold jerry...gold!
Get the hell out of here with Spooner crap, he will always be Frank Costanza the inventor of Festivus. Frank Costanza will always be a top 3 character in my book. Never watched King of Queens was he still doing a curmudgeon?
I loved how he could seem like the most pissed off human on the planet while simply saying "Merry Christmas". Singing "Happy Birthday" must've been hysterical... lol.
As much as I love Frank Costanza, I actually think Arthur Spooner was a funnier character. Was just re-watching the one where he got married (to his real wife) last week. One of the funniest episodes of the series and it was all because of him. If you're a Stiller fan, you should give King of Queens a watch. He was brilliant.
Yeah actually I am curious and will watch the posted video but Frank was absurdly funny because that fit in the Sienfeld premise which I love. K.O.Q. does not seem to be that type of show. I watched the clip and he seems to be doing Frank lite, still funny but nothing like this.
I wasn't familiar with him until Seinfeld, which he was fantastic in. But he stole every scene he was in on King of Queens--literally EVERY scene. Was Seinfeld the better show? Oh, hell yes. But Jerry Stiller on King of Queens... what a character. Guys like him don't come around often.
