You can't really control "if" or "when" he's going to be injured... all you can do is play him when he's 100%. If he gets injured prior to the playoffs, at least the Texans can game plan for that.... rather than if they game plan all week for a playoff game WITH him, and then have to adjust mid-game if he goes out again. The Atlanta game had us go straight to running the ball much much more, and luckily our O-line was up to the challenge. He really needs to show that he can stay healthy for more than two games in a row... regardless... if this team has aspirations of winning more than one playoff game.
Whenever he' fullyready is when we should start him. I think we have to go after that 1st seed and he gives us the best chance to do so.
The good news is the Texans don't need him to play to win the next 3 games. I think rest him until week 17, play him for a half then hopefully he'll get another week of rest.
I would not even consider rushing him back but especially if we have a chance for a first round bye we need him there. Plus, I dont want him having his first game back in the playoffs. Dre' still needs to be in game shape for our FIRST playoff TD!
I'd like to say give him some game reps week 17, but who knows if those lowlife cornerbacks in Tennessee wouldn't cheap shot him or anyone on this team.
If Andre is ready play him. If they get a #1 or #2 spot that is basically a playoff W and rights there for the taking...
Shouldn't need him for Carolina and Indy, rest him and let Foster and Tate run wild against those terrible defenses.
NFL Network just reported AJ said he could have played this game but wanted to play it safe, will definitely play in Week 17
