I will likely switch jobs in December. Gonna set aside a healthy couple of weeks to play all the titles. I still never got to play CIV Revolution, Mario Galaxy, barely touch 2k9, and Resistance will probably chance my life. No time for Little Big Planet yet either. Ughgf. No. My girl does not want to dish out $2000 for a TV so the Sony was a no go. To be honest, I think she is holding out on me and is trying to get me one for Christmas.
Yeah, that's what I figured. Unless someone else wants to do it, I'll probably try to find some time to post one in the next few days...of course, all I'll probably do is post a link to the NeoGAF official thread for all that good info/media/etc., so it shouldn't be hard to find the time. No idea. I either forgot it or never saw it (don't watch a lot of TV sometimes). Do you remember anything more? When did you see the ad (last 6 months, last year, last 3 years, etc), what type of game (assuming FPS, but maybe not?), what system(s), etc.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R? F.E.A.R? After playing some R2 beta and seeing a 9.5 from IGN (not really my favorite source of game review but still), my opinion of the game has definitely changed........still not sure if it's a must buy though....too many stuff I want to buy first
For those simply gauging this game based on a 9.5 from IGN, I would caution them that since this is an exclusive review AFAIK, it isn't surprising that R2 received a very good score. I don't care about the 9.5 (surprise surprise), but I did enjoy the video review, which is why I posted it. He seemed to share a similar opinion that I did of R1 for example (outstanding), and he also seemed to mention some of the same concerns I had about R2 (mostly involving the narrative). Of course, playing the beta is something completely different... Oh...in that case, probably a good thing you never got around to playing it, at least from what I understand.
Am I the only one who gave my soul to Resistance Online? Everyone else who loves it speaks about the graphics, story line, great AI. Me, I played online non-stop. Shows you how deep it is.
The only thing I care about is 8 player co-op. I'll give single player a run and I'll rarely touch multi player (too much chaos).

I think some Wal-marts ended up selling it early. Not sure about other places. I think I saw that someone got a Collector's Edition, although I can't remember what stores were offering that (know that Gamestop and Amazon are...not sure about other stores).
