    2k9 Post Season
Ron is trying but he is trying to hard, he wants to play badly and I like that but he needs rest. He is shooting a very nice 3pt percentage with us and rebuilding around Yao now that should be the main case from 1 to 4. A consistent high percent. He also needs to start. His defense jumps starts the rest and makes them want to play defense. Finally he is the missing voice. Rafer tends to talk and Battier does too but they lack the skills to validate their speech therefore not commanding enough respect to be heard. He in my book is a no brainer to resign. (Artest has no love for any other team, you never see him associate at the game or laughing it up, I love that. I wont mention who I tend to see laughing it up while Yao is shooting FT's though).

    Extend Wafer. Simple enough.

    2k10 Post Season
Bosh is my favorite out of the upcoming FA's. But I dont see it happening. I wont hate on Tmac. I would give him the option to resign at vet minimum and no more. Do not however resign Rafer. Resign LScola. (I do not need to mention it but I will, LScola is another source of international money). Do not pick up TO on Hayes, but be willing to resign at a lower cost if he is willing. A million saved is a million added to another players contract.

    Pick up TO on AB.

Now what to do with 23+ million. Find a 3 point or at the very least high percent mid range PF (Bosh). You want an open paint for Yao to dominate. We will also need a PG, back up or primary depending on Brooks level of play. But the equation to building around Yao is simple. Clear his lane and he becomes more dominant. Surround him 3 point shooters from the 1 to 4 and his options are endless. His FG percentage will rise. His assist will rise. Who know maybe even his FT attempts will rise with more room for the refs to see without the clogging of other bodies. The only thing that will need to decline is minutes.

    2k11 Post Season
Its simple, resign Yao but not the max. His wear and tear need to subtract something and hopefully he will agree. But here is a problem. If you dont rebuild around Yao he isnt going to want to stay. He is a soft player and wont ask for anything. Do not take this as a sign as he is happy. He is getting older and wants to win. He wants to bring a ring back to China.

Resign Battier as a defensive specialist if he would agree to the same thing Chuck is making (maybe a tid bit more). If not let him go.

Resign AB based on play level.

    Good game y'all

lol. Dont get me wrong, he was a great player and is a decent player now. But I think jealousy brought him back too early (again, dif reason though).

For completely different reasons, I'd trade all three of them. Yao, because he's too passive and lacks the will to dominate. T Mac, because his game is declining with each year he plays. Ron, because I don't trust players with a history of doing stupid things; especially in a league with guaranteed contracts. Note, if they win a Championship this year, I take everything back. :)

I'd trade Yao NOW while he is healthy and good. No way you can win anything with a slow and soft Yao playing 30 minutes.

Artest will leave. trade him for anything.

    TMAC, untradable because he sucks.

Thing about 2010 is how GOOD will all those players still be 2 seasons from now? They're all great NOW, but some are gonna be battered and worn and on the downside of their careers. If they put your team over the top, and I'd take a 33 year old Dirk on this team, then fine. Still need to draft well and invest in some young talent. Or of course make your team good regardless.

    Keep Yao, duh.

Unless we see something different in Ron soon, get rid of him.

I would resign Tracy if, and only if, he would be a 6th man, and a contract under 10/year. If he doesnt like that, then dont sign him.

I'd put Ron on the market just to see what I could get for him. Not that I want to trade him, but I can't see him re signing here with this load of crap that's going on. He's not a fit with this team and Tracy won't do anything to make that better as long as he's on the court.

My 2010 target would be Joe Johnson. I'd go after him as hard as possible. He's still relatively young and plays both pg and sg. He has some size and would play well if we had to go with Brooks at point. I'd let TMac and Rafer walk. Rafer you may able to get something for if we're not in mix next year. TMac, on the other hand is gonna have to be kept around if we want to get my target Johnson. You should also be able to get another player at 7-9 million to go with Johnson that year with the left over TMac money.

nice targeting, get him and try to make a high enough price for Bargnani and you got 4 wings leaving Yao on the 1v1, dont forget to resign scola, he can be 6th man getting minutes at the 4 and 5

Just coming back to say that signing Scola this summer was a priority.

Why wait till 2010? After the season, offer Yao for Bosh,Humphries, and 1st. Trade shane and rafer for outlaw and pryzbilla. In 2010, resign Bosh, make a run at amare. Sign salmons.

Brooks, salmons, outlaw, bosh and amare is the starting 5. Landry, pryzbilla and filler on the bench. Who's with me?

Feigen said Les told him the Rockets would be players in the summer of 2010.

Here's another possibility - trade TMac and/or other assets this summer to a team scared to lose their star player as a free agent in 2010. And we coul take back a bad contract along with the star, to make the deal more palatable and to match TMac's huge salary. Even though we could end up losing the newly acquired star player, I'm betting a star would rather stay here for a bigger contract and playing for a players coach in RA, than ditching the Rockets for a team under the cap that won't have the talent to surround the player that the Rockets will have.

I don't see how that works. How would we be trading for a star, if we can take a bad contract and a star's contract with only T-mac? Wouldn't we need to trade T-Mac/Yao or T-Mac/Artest.

Yao will be resigned, despite injury problems, because of the extra chinese marketing deals. Isn't Les a minority owner of some chinese shoe company?

Artest and T-mac are out the door. We need to be healthy. It seems that the Spurs were able to win so many championshipss due to good health.

you lost me after the season

bosh is starting to dislike playing there

remember artest? we got him cheap
dont send away our money bringer which would be the only way to ever go above the cap especially during this recession (which brings me to this fact international players are hot commodities)

offer battier landry or even artest and landry for bosh and cash

Yao - keep this guy. i mean he's the best post player in the league. he plays better against howard. he's a great passer, shooter, team player, etc... he's a keeper. and all that money Les' making.

Artest - shoots like crap, been playing like crap. gone

Mac - don't like his attitude now, not playing the best ball, gone.

so, build the parts around Yao, get rid of rafer too, keep Luis.
