That Jerry Sloan is just as good as Rudy T.

Rudy went 45-37, and Utah is on course to that this season with a similar team talent-wise.

I don't know. It's not that Rudy's a bad coach. He's just not the right type for this team.

So you think it's because of Sloan that Stockton and Malone are two of the most durable players to EVER play? Sloan is responsible for Malone still being able to play 36 minutes a game and put up 20 points and 8 boards? Sloan has Stockton near the top of the league in assists still? Do you think Sloan's in your face crap would work on Francis? No way, man. The only reason he gets away with it is that Stockton and Malone still listen to him and put up with it. Once they're gone and the team's not winning Sloan's act will wear thin. And Sloan doesn't have a 'much better record' than the Rockets either. They're 2.5 games ahead. No need to exaggerate.

Flip Saunders has quite a bit of talent in Minnesota. Who here wouldn't trade Francis AND Mobley AND Griffin for Garnett? Then you add Wally who was a 'real all-star last year son', he didn't have to get voted in. Joe Smith is better than Griffin. Gary Trent is on par with Mo Taylor. Nesterovic is a damn good center. Kendall Gill is on their bench. Oh yeah, they're also just 2.5 games ahead of us. Please come to Houston Flip.

Detroit. Why do people keep bringing them up? They surprise people. All role players. Not going anywhere. Play in the East.

    The Freak,

I think Jerry Sloan's in-your-face syle is EXACTLY WHAT this bunch needs. Rudy is not getting much from his horses, and I agree that his style may not be right for this team. Too often he looks totally exasperated. For whatever reason, he's not getting through...at least not yet.

Guess we'll have to agree to disagree;)

Replacing Rudy T with Jerry Sloan would make me puke. God, that is just crazy.

TheFreak said everything else I wanted to say.

lol. JERRY SLOAN IS AN EXCELLENT COACH...wait...I'm not finished! He is an excellent coach.....BUT HELL NO!!! I WOULD NEVER WANT HIM ON THE HOUSTON ROCKETS. He may be a good coach, but he can never be a Rocket. RICK ADELMAN CAN COME TO HOUSTON THOUGH!!! He's a former rocket...

    About James Posey.

DID YOU SEE THAT LOSER...Jermaine Jones or whatever...he is a loser...they have 40 losses...WELL DID YOU SEE THAT LOSER WIDE OPEN ALL THE TIME? That is why he made so many THREEs. He was left wide open. James Posey never really guarded him. He was always wandering...it's not a problem. I think Posey is very nice and wants to help out on defense...but he can't leave his guy that open.

DURING THE GAMES WE WON...Posey scored double figures and had a couple of steals and more than 5 rebounds. In our losses...all his numbers are down. That is the same with Yao's numbers. And Griffin's. And Terence Morris's. And Moochie's. I'd rather have everybody on our team score 10 points each and share the ball instead of one guy trying to score all the time.

AND ABOUT CALBERT CHEANEY? He can't be smarter than ALL of our Rockets besides Yao. EXAGGERATION. But he really is not that smart. All he does is make wide open shots that are set up by his teammates. He really doesn't have to do anything but shoot. And he is a very good shooter. So I guess it works.

Couldn't agree with these 3 points more, especially the last. Did anyone doubt what our "game winning play" would be last night? Neither did Cleveland. As much as I like and respect Rudy (I'm reading The Punch right now), we keep getting outcoached. If we don't fire him, we should at least make him hire an assistant COACH or 2 and lose the two "yes-men" video coordinators currently on his staff.

Think about this: Would any one of Rudy's assistants ever get so much as a sniff from a team looking for a head coach?
