the mistress type stories do happen though. Happened to a friend of mine. He was the boyfriend, and knew about the hubby. She was in a car accident and called him to see her at the hospital. The hospital had already called the husband. Husband was not pleased. on the rescue -- my kiddies have been stoked on the whole story and process for days now. Can't wait to see some film tonight! What an amazing story.
Obviously there are some big differences between the BP disaster and what happened in Chile but that doesn't mean lesson's can't be learned even if it is just in management of information and chain of command. Comparing the Chile mine disaster to the West Virginia Sago mine disaster is more of a direct comparison. In the Sago disaster from early on there was a lot of finger pointing and confusion about who was responsible for what. That led to confusion regarding whether the miners were initially alive or not, unfortunately they were already dead. While that was a tragic disaster and the miners, even following what Chile did, couldn't be saved but the situation probably could've been better in dealing with the families and media.
Just heard on the news Chilean Miners are heading to Dallas this week to advise the Cowboys how to get out of a hole before Christmas.
Funny thing.......all the Cowboy fans I know are now claiming they never really liked football in the first place. Seems they've actually been baseball fans all their lives. Weird.
