    Jeff and/or anyone else,

Anyone have any good books on the basics of recording? I'm pretty much self taught and would like to learn more about it. Also, any good books on Pro Tools?

I just feel like I could be learning more.

Frankly, the best book probably ever written on the subject of sound and recording is The Yamaha Sound Reinforcement Handbook.

This is the Bible for people who run sound or record. It is used as a textbook for audio engineering courses.

For other basic recording books, look at "The Musicians Guide to..." series. They have a couple on home recording that are very good.

Perfect! That was one of the two I was looking at. One of the engineers at my internship swears on the Mixing Engineers Handbook, so I'll probably grab them both.

Hey Jeff, I have a few other questions and I tried to drop you an e-mail a while ago only to have it returned. Any way you could drop me a line at jlucas4092@hotmail.com? Thanks.
