He gave the explanation to give the 5th circuit some guidance on a ruling in case they rule that the plaintiffs did have standing. But you're right this is pretty ridiculous. By accepting all of these cases nationwide, the courts have basically legitimized the strategy of litigating any part of election law (regardless of how ridiculous it is) because the court will seemingly always grant you a hearing.

The federal courts are simultaneously arguing that we should defer to states but they are also willing to hear any case (no matter how ridiculous). None of this makes sense. They're clearly inviting challenges while strategically ruling on supposedly deferential grounds.

Even a pro-Trump judge might not want his or her name stamped on such blatant (make that BLATANT) voter suppression.

Whatever courts Steve "A-Hole"tze takes this to now might have to judge it on, Well, let's see if those votes will keep Trump from winning Texas.

It's way worse. This cockamamie newly invented by Kavanaugh-Alito-Thomas-Gorsuch sometimes Roberts + soon Barrett (that's 5) theory that federal courts can override state courts on their own state constitutions to protect the rights "of state legislatures" is why we need to expand the courts, and to limit the damage done by people like Hainen.

This is another "well the attempt failed, therefore, the System is working!" type of moment.

    It didn't and it's not.

I don't know if it was stated here, but maybe there's also the idea of keeping people away from drive through voting tomorrow.

No, please no! Not population redution!

But I am glad they at least delineated and separated "Riots & Lawlessness" from "Anarchy & Chaos."

Population re-dution #1 priority -- very important for NWO.

Harris County is closing 9 of 10 of Drive-Thru locations. Out of Caution. 127,000 votes will still count. Only the Toyota Center will be open.

BTW, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals also upheld the validity of the 127,000 votes.

trump didnt get the 125k but getting them closed is a win for trump.

the hope for trump is a cumulative effort..

i still havent heard a half valid reason from repugs except that houston is more biden. they arent even trying.

repugs are usually pretty good at claiming morals.. getting 9 locations of 10 closed is somehow morally ok because we still count the 125k!! like thats a good thing that votes are supposed to be counted!

a loss for democracy painted as a win. what a joke.. i was surprised to hear something like 80-90 million hadnt voted yet. thats a huge number still

Thank god the Rs only packed the courts with strict constitutional judges. Can you imagine if the Rs packed the courts with activist judges?
