Lighten up, Francis, you are really turning into a diva... <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/zLrsCnBvQFo&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/zLrsCnBvQFo&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
OK, what the hell? How can you say "BABY KILLER" (a freaking title/name for a person) and be referring to a bill? That is total BS. "THAT THERE BILL IS A BABY KILLER!!!"
Actually if the Dems (it isn't ever on the GOP/ country club agenda) had taken care to help these poor hurting folks out with more equitable economic policies it is doubtful they would be so extreme.
Again, get real! When did those suggesting that Republicans police the Tea Baggers ever say anything remotely civil or complimentary about the Tea Baggers? Then you bend over backwards to try and make some kind of organic connection between the Republican Party and the Teabaggers and you get skittish about the suggestion of slander?
Texas strikes again. And in true Texan fashion, the commenters of chron.com will support him and continue saying the abominable phrase.
I don't understand what you are talking about. Why should they have to say something complimentary about the tea baggers? The problems wasn't that the tea baggers didn't say something nice. It was that they shouted racist and prejudiced things. There is a connection between the tea baggers and the Republicans. I'm not trying to do anything. I don't have to. Is your point that it is slander to tie Republicans to the tea baggers? I really don't understand the post you are trying to make.
Are you being deliberately obtuse? The Teabaggers have been and are technically non-partisan. That doesn't mean that Republicans or Democrats cannot be fan, participants or operatives. It just means that the group is grassroots in nature. You insult Teabaggers right and left and then try to prove some kind of organic connection between them and the Republican party. What is NOT to understand?
I wish I was surprised by all this. Maybe some day I will be surprised, but not yet. Reminds me of the Chris Rock bit about Regis. Nothing surprises me.
They can claim to be non-partisan all day long. That doesn't make it so. The tea baggers are in large part a wing of the Republican party. Look at the speakers for their convention. Look at the speakers at their rally. Look at who organizes half of their events if not more. I'm sure you know who Dick Armey is. Freedom Works is Armey's group which organizes events for the tea party. http://www.truthdig.com/report/item/20090415_obamas_cup_of_tea/ http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2009/04/the-tea-party-movement-whos-in-charge/13041/ Please stop acting like there isn't a connection. We don't need to go through what is already foregone conclusion.
Grassroots and non-partisan are unrelated. The fact that they are a grassroots group doesn't mean they are non-partisan any more so than MoveOn.org being grassroots would suggest they are non-partisan.
Clyburn And Cummings Condemn HCR Protesters -- And Their GOP Supporters Jillian Rayfield | March 22, 2010, 5:15PM Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-SC) and Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) spoke out today against Republican support of health care reform protesters -- some of whom shouted racial epithets and spat on Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) over the weekend. Clyburn said that "Saturday was just beyond the pale." He added that this type of behavior "cannot be separated from the Republican Party, when you've got Republican members standing on the floor applauding those people who are trying to disrupt the proceedings." Cummings, for his part, agreed: "We had a situation here where some of this was encouraged." Clyburn also referenced Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), who downplayed these incidents on Sunday when he said that "when you use totalitarian tactics, people begin to act crazy." Clyburn: "What is totalitarian about having Barack Obama as President of the United States?" http://tpmlivewire.talkingpointsmem...-and-their-gop-supporters-video.php?ref=fpblg
I'm surprised it took giddyup this long to come in and defend the racis, er, completely non-partisan tea party folks.
