you're such a moron.. are you still on this "I'm a banned user back from the grave" kick.. Idiot... again I disagree with your politics and make good points so you're going to try and find a way to discredit me. The easiest way to do it is to tell everyone I'm a banned user using a different account. That is pathetic.. Typical of someone with your Ideology, but pathetic none the less.
Like how you edited my post. Nice... unfortunately though I can back up what I say with facts, can you?
are you denying that you posted this sentence? you know that EVERYONE = all congressmen and senators right?
I wish the media would do a better job analyzing the stimulus instead of just discussing the politics of it.
LOL.. OK EVERYONE WHO VOTED EXCEPT BARBARA LEE (D-CA). I did have that in my original post but I'll state it again.
your source? how old are you? http://tinyurl.com/yabyb6t Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002 126 (61%) of 208 Democratic Representatives voted against the resolution. 6 of 223 Republican Representatives voted against the resolution: Reps. Duncan (R-TN), Hostettler (R-IN), Houghton (R-NY), Leach (R-IA), Morella (R-MD), Paul (R-TX). The only Independent Representative voted against the resolution: Rep. Sanders (I-VT) Reps. Ortiz (D-TX), Roukema (R-NJ), and Stump (R-AZ) did not vote on the resolution. 21 (42%) of 50 Democratic Senators voted against the resolution. 1 of 49 Republican Senators voted against the resolution: Sen. Chafee (R-RI). The only Independent Senator voted against the resoution: Sen. Jeffords (I-VT)
Tell me when the economy is going bad and people are losing their jobs. Is the way to fix it by having more people lose jobs? Have you heard of the great depression? We spent our way out of that to a large degree.
The key point in this column is the absurdity of the voters. They want to blame him because he isn't creating jobs, but they don't want the debt that comes with job creation. Sometimes I think everyone shouldn't be allowed to vote
There's a good piece in the New Yorker from a few weeks agon on this paradox - basically, if you type (as people have on this BBS) that "we should cut spending to create jobs" - like a lot of people (teabaggers etc) seem to believe - you might as well just put on a dunce cap and go sit in the corner.
I tend to not put a lot of stock in stuff like this but if you really are a poster who just registered this month and not a previous poster how would you know this is a common tactic of Sam Fisher's?
I'm not sure what your point is. There are many congressional Democrats criticizing how the war in Afghanistan is going but I haven't heard a lot of them saying that Afghanistan was a mistake and we shouldn't have gone into there. There is a debate about how long we should be there but not about going in the first place.
I think Pop Rox was referring to SamFishers tactic in another thread and earlier posts from him. I think Sam's accusations are completely unfounded and if he has no evidence he really needs to cut it out. Anyways I do appreciate your more level headed responses.
