I'll go ahead and say that it is in poor taste, and I'm not an Obama supporter. It's clearly derived from stereotyping black people, and shouldn't be condoned.
It's clearly a representation of white suburbia's conception of what black stereotypes are supposed to be. You can't tell me that she didn't realize the stereotype and just thought to herself, "Hmm, I've sure been seeing a lot of Barack Obama and his supporters eating watermelon lately!" And you know it's white suburbia because the stereotype is second-degree. Us first-degree-stereotypers know that black people don't eat at KFC. It's Church's, and in other parts of the country, Bojangles!
Did I say that? No, but you few that I mentioned have been anti-Obama so I asked if this type of attack was acceptable to you or would either of you say that even this is wrong?
Mad Dog is freaking gross. I used to drink that when I was in highschool. That's all we could afford at the time. I swear I must of threw up every time I drank it. It was nasty! Trust me... I'm not a racist. I can't be... I'm mixed. Well you can be a racist but I'm not. I've dealt with more racism than most folks and I'm not even Black. Blacks are not the only ones that deal with racism. It's just talked about more than any other race. Try being half white and half hispanic. Not easy but you won't hear about those type of things in movies, books, holidays, and etc.

Hate to nit-pick, but you're mixing up race and ethnicity. Hispanic/Latino is an ethnicity. You can be white hispanic, and you can be black hispanic.
why would I deem this acceptable? it's obviously racist, so by you asking if I support it, are you not asking if I am racist? I don't support Obama for many, many reasons, least of which has to do with the color of his skin.
It just depends on how you look at it. When people use the word hispanic, 9 out of 10 times it's because their from the US. Most folks that say their Mexican, they came from Mexico or have parents from Mexico. I hate to nit-pick too!
That's ethnicity, though, not race. That was his point. You said "try being half White and half Hispanic" as if Hispanic was a race, which it is not. If I am born in Spain from purely Spanish decent, I am Hispanic and I am White. Not half and half. Scientifically, there are only three races, and Hispanic isn't one of them. That's what he was saying.
I was asking, if your fellow supporters did something like this (which they did) would you tell them not to do it or even just say hey that's wrong? I'm not saying you're racist but asking would you condemn this type of behavior from people following the same candidate as you?
Untrue I did hear something funny from a Republican supporter this morning on the radio though. He said most of the white people that support Obama are "sympathy voters" that they basically feel like they have to vote for Obama because they owe the "black race" something.
I wonder if it was this chick: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/GqW_xdD7cIs&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/GqW_xdD7cIs&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Would you care to explain by what scientific criteria the human species can be divided into three races? Thanks in advance.
