Very strange that a politician can win an election with rape conviction on his rap sheet.

He's the president so the matter was handled in a special manner for the country's benefit. It as a sex harassment investigation sanctioned by the Attorney General. He lied under oath during this investigation thus perjuring himself. He was also impeached for obstruction of justice.

Hard to fathom that anyone wouldn't see the inherent contradiction in denying something happened while simultaneously saying they had lost their memory.
