here are 3 examples of proven illegal actions... what is a fact is that this administration authorized torture practices ruled illegal under the geneva convention, the war crimes act of 1996 (passed by a republican congress, i might add) and that went against the army field manual. what is a fact is that this administration changed the definition of torture to mean that it "must be equivalent in intensity to the pain accompanying serious physical injury, such as organ failure, impairment of bodily function, or even death.". furthermore..."For purely mental pain or suffering to amount to torture," the memo said, "it must result in significant psychological harm of significant duration, e.g., lasting for months or even years." http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A23373-2004Jun7.html what is a fact is that this administration conducted warrantless surveillance of american citizens in violation of the law and while they were doing it bush lied to us and said "Now, by the way, any time you hear the United States government talking about wiretap, it requires -- a wiretap requires a court order. Nothing has changed, by the way. When we're talking about chasing down terrorists, we're talking about getting a court order before we do so. It's important for our fellow citizens to understand, when you think Patriot Act, constitutional guarantees are in place when it comes to doing what is necessary to protect our homeland, because we value the Constitution." what is a fact is that this administration violated the law by funding propaganda, buying off reporters (armstrong williams, anyone?) and planting fake reporters at news conferences (jeff gannon, anyone?). the non-partisan government accountability office said that the bush administration spent $1.6 billion dollars b/t 2003 and 2005 on "covert propaganda". http://oversight.house.gov/documents/20060213110444-05660.pdf EDIT: bush supporters like to claim that bush doesnt pay attention to polls and public opinion - "he just does whats right". well, if thats the case than why does he feel the need to spend $1.6 billion of OUR tax dollars to tell us what a great job he is doing?
Allegations are not "facts." Even Nancy Pelosi admits there are no impeachable offenses. Just breathe in and out. Very soon now you can vote for your leadership choice -- and soon he or she will be accused of impeachable offenses. It's the curse of the modern Presidency.
God, you are a dumbass. To be fair, OBama wouldn't be a bad candidate. Neither would Huckabee. Both of those are, at least, formidable candidates. The question I have, for you mc Stupid, is what platform Barrack stands for? I still can't figure it out. Love him or hate him, another child from Hope, Arkansas might come and swing the table. I heart Huckabee!
Hussein Obama is a total sham candidate who isn't even CLOSE to having the resume needed to lead the United States. He speaks well (when reading from a script) and Oprah likes him, and well, that's about it. Clinton is the most polarizing figure in the race, hands down, with huge negatives -- higher than anyone ever elected to be President. Edwards is basically a little girl, and he has very extreme positions on issues such as the economy, energy policy, and taxes which would absolutely cripple the United States' competitive standing in the worldwide economy. NONE of those candidates are Presidential in any way. Oh, and jomama -- there is a reason why your conspiracy theories never draw a response... it's because they are so ridiculous that no one even bothers. Very damaging to your cred. You've been reading far too many lunatic fringe propaganda sites.
haha - texx, you call edwards a little girl, but you continue to support a president who goes around holding hands with saudi princes and hanging out, hugging, giving goo-goo eyes, kissing and rubbing the head of gay male hookers. NO CRED!!! texx, what "conspiracy theories" are you referring to? i gave 3 examples of the bush administration clearly violating the law. i had no idea that the washington post or the government accountability office were "lunatic fringe propaganda sites". and ill ask you directly texx...if bush doesnt care about polls or public opinion than why did he spend $1.6 billion of our tax dollars to tell us what a great job he is doing?
Willard's having to adjust expectations... never a good sign... My, my. How can a guy who graduated from Ouachita Baptist University compete with the great resume of Romney? This must drive Willard supporters nuts.
