The Bush tax cuts affect every taxpayer, which is why they are so important. Of course I'm also biased since I specialize in tax.

They do affect every tax payer, I don't deny that at all.

    1. going back to Clinton's tax levels may not be the most desirable thing for people, but it isn't going to kill them either, and there would be a side benefit in govt. revenue if that happened.

The hypocrisy is just mind blowing. Let's get to work on that debt and continue to support the main cause of it.

Question: Since the cuts are due to sunset let's say nothing get's done on this issue one way or another. They will sunset automatically right?

If that's the case let the GOP bring everything to a screeching hault. As long as those job killing, deficit blowing up, tax cuts aren't extended Obama is a success IMO.

Well said. It's quite unsettling to see the lack of logic so clearly stated.

“In Washington, the view is that the banks are to be regulated, and my view is that Washington and the regulators are there to serve the banks.”

Actually sometimes it seems like Spencer Bachus has been at least partially right for some time now. Washington has been doing a fairly good job of serving the big banks lately.

I think they understand that she's a necessary evil to keep their base stirred up. The left would be better off to just ignore what she says and not give the far right a rise out of it.

Unfortunately Ms Bachmann does not represent the far right but is an a leadership position of the republican party in 2011 America. Her gibberish must be taken seriously

Rep. Paul Broun Asked At Town Hall: 'Who Is Going To Shoot Obama?'

The Athens Banner-Herald in Georgia reports that a shocking question was asked at a town hall event held by Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga.) on Tuesday. According to the article, an audience member asked the congressman, "Who is going to shoot Obama?"

    Blake Aued reports:

However, rather than confronting the questioner or condemning the question, Broun instead acknowledged "frustration" with Obama, according to the Banner-Herald. The paper reports that Broun responded to the stunning inquiry as follows:
