    Are they really reciting the pledge of allegiance and singing the national anthem? What a thinly veiled attempt to rally some sense of national chauvinism. Ooooooh, and she MISSED the "free" note pretty badly...

    Especially if it was Obama that had a 17 year old unwed daughter, who was engaged to a tough black kid rather than the redneck boyfriend of her daughter is engaged too.

    Change the hick references to parallels of a black youth who knocked up Obama's daughter and imagine what the GOP would say.

    I noiced the people bashing Palin on this board are already voting for Obama. I will wait for the debates...but myself and my wife were swayed bigtime!

    another thing i cant understand

    all they got is obama is unpatriotic...thats all they got. if they had more, i might consider voting for them. dont waste my time with that. there's never been an unpatriotic presidential candidate.

    Palin made an effective speech, which I expected.

    McCain looks like he's aging by the day.

    Obama's going to have to attack much harder than he thinks he does.

    All in all, I'm still pleased.
