I got no theory left when it comes to the Republican party. I'm quite surprise that Trump is a leading candidate. I'm a bit less, but still surprise that Carson is the other leading candidate. Comes next year and if this continue...
Its quite baffling. One thing that is hurting the Republicans is the amount of unlikely candidates. The disgusting part is these candidates know they wont win, but are doing it to stay relevant. I have noticed a strong contrast among the hard core conservatives in my circle. Many simply do not like any of the candidates. On the other side, and these tend to be the tea party people, are in favor of the most extreme candidate and/or the one that is the most anti-liberal. There are many here who like to broad stroke each side, but what I think is happening is the main stream Republicans have simply gone dark, leaving the tea party Republicans speaking for the rest.

^in the past, civil rights leaders invoked Christian morality as underpinning for their civil disobedience. Not that I'm convinced his causes stand as clear as civil rights, but it's a nod to Kim Davis and her partisans.
However this reasoning is the same That people that support sharia law use. It is scary with those people and it is scary here. Religion and politics should not be linked. With religion reason and independent thinking dissapears and we need that in politics.
The problem with this thinking is there is no consensus on what your deity thinks is justifiable, it's not testable, debatable or subject to democracy. Civil disobedience has courtroom test for justification and a predetermined civil cost the perpetrators can weigh against their cause. You cannot assign an absolute value to a unapproachable voice, you can't let the interpretations of men be unquestioned and unchanged with changing social values. Change will undoubtedly leave you behind and in conflict. That's why democratic law has to superseded divine law.
With a few tweaks here and there, I think the 1991 David Duke would be a front runner candidate for today Republican Party.
