I mean I guess you think so little of us that you think we'd just look at their race instead of what they are advocating to determine if they have our interests in mind. You really actually believe black people will vote for Ben Carson just because he's black yeah?
I think that's right. Asians and Hispanics and possibly Jews were there for the taking if the Republicans had made the effort to appeal to these groups. Instead, they've actively pushed them away to cater to a shrinking mid-continent white male core. I think Republicans could actually win in 2016, but they are hurting their brand so badly for the future.

Since he is "a near-perfect representative of the Republican base" it is always entertaining watching treeman teeter on the brink... Just wait for it... It will come.
I like Obama's quote (from a fundraiser): [rquoter]"Have you noticed that every one of these candidates say, ‘Obama's weak. Putin's kicking sand in his face. When I talk to Putin, he's gonna straighten out. Just lookin' at him, he's gonna be...' [trails off] "And then it turns out they can't handle a bunch of CNBC moderators at a debate! [wild cheers] "I mean, let me tell you, if you can't handle those guys, you know, then I don't think the Chinese and the Russians are going to be too worried about you."[/rquoter]
IMHO, the republican candidates, especially Cruz, Rubio, Trump and Chris Christie, handled those CNBC moderator clowns just fine.
Yesterday on the Howard Stern Show, George Takei said that Ted Cruz is the most bang-able of all the GOP candidates So there's that, at least.
The reason that Obama thinks that they didn't do well is because his idea of "handling" Putin is to merely capitulate every single time they don't see eye to eye. The Republican candidates didn't do that with the CNBC guys.
On the other hand if you start huffing and puffing/mock Putin, then he'll immediately withdraw from Syria and stop messing with Ukraine. I'm glad the CNBC debate helped shed light on our future diplomatic strategies.
Weird primary, when Ben Carson and Donald "We're Gonna Build a Wall and Mexico is Gonna Pay for It" Trump are your frontrunners a year out from the election. Although Rubio and Cruz gained some traction when they dragged out that old "liberal media" chestnut. Never fails!
