I’ve never once enjoyed watching the all-star game. No-defense snooze fest. On par with the G League

FIFY: I feel like that was a week for me to hit up the strip clubs and kind of take a step back away from basketball.

So now a passive male is a Karen too? (There is a standard for sarcasm, do not call people dumb for something you started.)

I am actually surprised there is a ASG after they cancelled it.

It's a surprise in the middle of a season. I mentally checked out of a possible ASWeekend myself.

The NBAPA has had to be the adult in the room with these players before the bubble when the players didn't want to go and during the bubble when players wanted to burst the bubble. Business over feelings.

OP doesn’t understand what a Karen is or its cultural context.

OP closer to meaning of Karen than players.

Meh all star game is boring anyways. As long as they name all stars it'll be fine. It'd be just as entertaining if they had all the Allstars playing 2k from their houses tbh. The problem with having the game is if someone gets covid you wipe out all of the league's stars on one fell swoop. That's bad for business.

These guys don't want to play in the ASG or the all star weekend during a normal year.

And when we're trying to analyze Lebron's motivations, let's not waste our time, but just remember that he had "chosen one" tattooed on his own back. lol

These are the role models for the current generation. No wonder everyone wants something for nothing.

I'm not calling anyone dumb. If you took the time to read the post, I said I was being sarcastic in case someone failed to understand that.

I love basketball, but I watch all 4 major league sports, and basketball players are just a different breed. They give to the community, don't get me wrong, but they are definitely more temperamental and obsessed with personal brand over league/team in a way that most pro athletes aren't.

Doesn't make them 'bad people', and I think the all star game is dumb, but NBA players are always going to push the envelope on what they can get away with because the power dynamic Lebron (and Adam Silver) have created in the NBA is that the top 5 superstars control the league. It's just a different playing field when it comes to decision making.

It’s about money and all star jerseys
And the dunk contest and three point contest
They forgot this is a money making operation

If you were confident in your sarcasm, you wouldn't have to explain it before others actually taking time to read it.

I haven't heard anyone complaining about stars not participating and the NBA wasn't advertising it big.

The ASG shouldn't even get attention, this year people should prioritize their life.

And what if there were Karens, no darn was given. Or it's just some Giannis obsession.

"There's so much going on as far as we're trying to calm the virus down -- and we're putting on an event, you know?" Harden said.

    LMAO,

this is coming from the same guy that got COVID in the summer and clearly not because he went to the hospital to help out the doctors and nurses there.

A weekend meant for the fans and for relaxation/enjoyment to kick back for a few days from all involved. This game will have neither. Yeah sounds pretty dumb to me too. Just name the all stars as usual and move on to next year. That’s all that’s needed

    Was this sarcasm as well?

You seem to be going in on the players, do you think they should play the all star game?

last year's All star game was pretty fantastic, but pretty much every game before that one was not worth the 3 hour commitment.
I would do all the other stuff remotely then scrap the game.
