    Why not Rodman or Purdue?

No matter who they get, it'll be very entertaining watching them digress next year & their front office dig up excuses on why exactly they let Jackson go. Organizations like that should be more appreciative of good coaches.

Mark Jackson is a decent coach, he's much better than McHale if only Andrew Bogut was healthy they would've beat the Clippers.
GSW at least plays D, unlike the Rockets.

The Warriors will regress? If they do it most likely will have little to do with their head coach. The Warriors didn't really win because of Jackson. The Warriors started winning because of the quality of players on the court.

We heard this same nonsense with Hollins being replaced last year.

There are a select few special coaches... But most of the league is made up of Mark Jackson, Jason Kidd, Scotty Brooks, Kevin McHale and similar coaches... They are not special but not terrible, success depends on the talent on the court.. It is a players league.

The Warriors replacing Mark Jacksom with SVG while the Rockets stick with McHale would be hard to stomach.

Which means it will probably happen, unfortunately.

they wont get someone like SVG though. coaches will go to the biggest names first:

    lakers
    knicks
    warriors
    wolves
    jazz
    pistons
    bucks

then you take the best coaches on the market, and give the best team the first pick, and so on: karl, hollins, SVG, mcmillan, calipari, ollie, hoiberg, woodson, kerr.

the lakers getting first choice, probably no to karl do to age (wont be around when they are good again) and because he's too similar to coach pringles. hollins isn't a big enough name. SVG i think does the trick for them.

knicks choose kerr to run the triangle.

warriors could luck out and land karl. they would be scary. they might want a guy who will stick around for most of curry's career. but hollins, mcmillan, and woodson are all too slow paced on O, historically. that leaves one of the college coaches. i don't see ollie leaving just yet. he'll want to defend his championship. calipari may not leave yet either. hoiberg seems like the man.

the bottom 4 teams won't attract a big name coach. they will have to promote a long time nba assistant.

Absolutely man. I can't think of any good reason why Rodman wouldn't be a good coach.:grin:

Adelman has some unfinished business in that city.

Adelman retired for family reasons right?? If not, he'd be a great fit.

I think in general coaches don't matter a ton, but your examples are flawed. With curry for the fist 2 years the warriors win totals were in the 20's. After Jackson their win total were 23, 47, and 51 wins. You could say they got better as curry got better, but you can see progress there. Memphis got the western conference finals and where quite competitive with the thunders. Who is to say they don't beat the thunder with hollins.
