some clutchfans hate fellow houstonians, who were born in houston, went to a houston high school and went to a state university and always loves his home town.

they hate vince young (the UHers especially) but he only loves Houston and the Rockets !

so Bud Adams, that's another level of hate, even though some of these 'fans' weren't even there for the Oilers.

Art Modell was another example. There shouldn't be a "Ravens".

Both owners were right about getting new stadiums. Regardless of how much you hate them.

If Satan said 1+1=2, then he's right, regardless if he's the devil.

So because somebody is dead now I have to like them and honor them? Hell Ill say it what a lot of people probably really want to say... (but tried to keep it clean)

**** Bud Adams and the horse he rode on leaving Houston. I am glad that guy never got to get his grubby hands on the ultimate trophy in all of sports after he left this city high and dry. I didn't like him as an owner here in Houston and I sure as hell didn't when he was gone. Him passing away is not changing that.

You want class? Ok sure. Bud Adams had NONE after 1980. He tore apart great teams, scammed the county into renovating the Dome (STILL paying on by the way), demanded a new stadium after a combined 5 wins in 2 seasons and multiple playoff failures, while unethically dealing with Nashville representatives on the side, then announcing "Hey, we're moving! Tough **** Houston!". Not to mention the idiocy and arrogance he had in Tennessee. (see pics, and comments)

Guy is the Houston version of Art Modell. Started something amazing, left kicking and screaming.

While a lot of us tried to stay classy, I guarantee a lot of us feel this on the inside, but instead wanted to keep it to ourselves. That is class.

Farewell Bud, thanks for the Texans!

Nobody is saying the city should be mourning his death.
However ripping a man who just passed away says more about you than it does him.

This post says way more about you than Bud.

best to just hush your mouth in the moments after somebody dies. Use this as a teaching moment for yourself.

Exactly! Unless you were there - unless you grew up with the Oilers and all the heartbreak they gave you year after year it's hard to understand why Bottom-Line is less popular than Hitler in the eyes of native Houstonians. And I am speaking as a guy whose very first pro football game was at Jeppesen Stadium to watch the Houston Oilers.

There are lines that cannot be crossed, deeds that cannot be undone and what Adams did to the city of Houston and to long suffering Oilers' fans - at least for me - can never be forgotten nor forgiven.

The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones

lol... You should probably learn the history of the NFL and Houston sports before you come across like a broken hearted teenager who just got dumped.

When it comes to ALL sports in Houston, Bud has created way more than he has taken away. He did more than just move the team to Tennessee.

Anyway, get back to booing your injured QB. Stay classy. ;)

Thanks to Bud leaving, we got three new stadiums. Do you think the Rockets stadium bill would have passed if the Oilers had not left town? It was very close as it was.

Really ironic that Bud and Bum passed away within days of each other. Wonder if they are talking now. They may not be in the same place. Bum was a Christian; I don't know anything about Bud's faith or lack of it. I know some of you think they just no longer exist, but many of us think there is life after death.

Nobody is "liking" him. We're just acknowledging he was also a human who has just passed away, and we respect all human aspects of it, regardless of his personality or events.

Who said you have to start liking him?

When somebody dies, it's not the time to insult them and point out all their flaws. Just shut your mouth if you have nothing nice to say. At least in the moments right after the man's death.

Why am I having to teach you doofuses these very basic life points? Did you seriously not learn this from your parents? Hopefully you're just young and don't know any better...

Met Bud Adams freaking two months ago at the Costco on Richmond and Wesleyan, he seemed genuinely nice and in great health condition. Bummer. RIP Bud Adams.
