Yikes. Divorce settlements if you're worth a boatload of money are ****ing outrageous these days. Tiger cheated, and Tiger is a scumbag. But damn, 3 quarters of a billion for cheating? Regular people cheat on their spouses probably as much as tiger, but not to the tune of this. As a male, I find these rulings unacceptable Your Honor.
There is no reason why anyone should get this much during a divorce. Yes, she deserves some, but that's just way too much. I'd say no more than 100 million. That's a fk ton of money to begin with.

you're thinking about it wrong. You're looking at the amount. In reality it was calulated by a %. divorce with someone whom you have had several years of marriage and kids with is typically half right? Why should tiger get off paying less than 10%?

50/50 split for the divorce after he tore up the prenup seems fine, plus some extra paid by Tiger for her silence (the amount hush money seems pretty excessive, but I guess if you are Tiger you are looking at that part like a business deal). It doesn't seem too outrageous when you look at it that way. The gross amount looks insane, but when you are worth that much, the percentages yield huge sums.

I don't see the big deal. The payout might cramp his investments, but they won't cramp his lifestyle. And, he'll make the money back. Meanwhile, he's taking care of his ex-wife and children, whom I presume he loves, in grand fashion.
