While I still think bosh is going to Miami, the trade can't include Anthony.

He hasn't signed his tender yet so, he can't be traded. And his agent has let it be known that there are other teams interested.

The deal can still happen without Anthony signing, it just won't include him until he does sign that tender.

There are a number of sources saying this might be true...from Toronto as well.

    UPDATE:

    http://www.sportsnet.ca/basketball/2010/06/30/bosh_free_agency/

Reports: Bosh to join Wade in Miami

Free agent forward Chris Bosh has decided to join Dwyane Wade in Miami, according to several reports, through a sign-and-trade deal that will send Michael Beasley, Mario Chalmers and Joel Anthony to the Toronto Raptors.

This latest speculation comes only days after one league executive said Bosh would sign with the Chicago Bulls along with the star of this year's free agent class, LeBron James.

    PG: Alston/
    SG: Wade/Von Wafer (lol)
    SF: Raja Bell/Miller
    PF: Bosh
    C: Miller/Pittman

I honestly dont know who else they can sign. Mike miller? Brad Miller?

This is not a good team, but it will make the playoffs in the East and could get interesting.

Yeah but they were not all Max contracts.
Am I missing something. If lebron, wade, and bosh all sign Max deals to Miami how can they afford anyone else. Even if they add one more player, they're dipping into the luxury tax.

OK let's say they just play with those 3 rookies they have left on there roster, they still have no bench. By the time playoffs come around they'll be exhausted.

BTW Bosh has a huge ego, I would not doubt that he would want to be the first domino to fall, as this is probably THE biggest free agent market in the NBA's history.....

Perkins is one of the best post defenders. Rondo is top 5 PG now. Posey was a good signing too. And they got PJ Brown for cheap.

To make huge trades and having the remaining 2 rookies blossom quickly was very good luck. More likely even if all 3 are signed, they'd still need 2-3 years to fill the holes using MLE etc. Playoff is more about having less holes than excessive offense power.

Well if that's a done deal then Toronto got a great deal IMO, especially if they get some draft picks. Beasley is a top prospect and you get a $9M TE, plus a Canadian dude. They can still go after LeBron, Dirk or Pierce. Raja Bell already says he wants to play there, so that's added depth. Brad Miller will sign somewhere on the cheap. Shaq is ring chasing too.

i still think jordan hill knick swap knick 2012 budinger is a MUCH better deal than pothead beasley noname anthony and trade exemption.

toronto is trying to use the te to please the fans, but really toronto probably wont ever use the trade exemption.exception whatever.

    Minimum players:

I could certainly see McGrady swooping in to ride coattails for the minimum.

There are actually a SLEW of unrestricted FAs out there. I don't think Miami will find it that hard to bring in a full roster of okay-to-good talent for one or two year minimum deals.

No MLE for teams that start under the cap.

Sort of - there's a cap hold of about $500k for every unfilled roster slot (out of 12). If they sign Wade, Bosh, and had $15M left over, they couldn't fully spend up to the cap and then go over with minimum contracts.

If they do send Beasley and Chalmers out and clear the roster, 3 mega-deals + the cap holds (~$4.5M) have to add up to $56M. Once they do that, they aren't allowed to sign a $4.5M player before finishing with minimums. It would have to be minimum only once they hit $41.5M in cap.

Beasley a top prospect? Have you followed the NBA since the 2008 draft?
